They'll cross that brige when they come to it.

Hi Ray,  I wonder if the Chiefs have peaked as a team, and if the Ravens are now the team to beat.  Looking at KC, do you think they can keep the string of Superbowl appearances going?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:53
I'm sticking with the Chiefs until someone unseats them. They seem to have the Bills' number in the playoffs and the Ravens haven't exactly been postseason darlings with Jackson as the QB.

Hi Ray, If we held your feet to the fire...tell us what available/so to be available WR you would add to the team and what WR you actually think we may end up with.  I know this is a study is "what ifs"..but give it a shot

I know it's a cop out, but they should get someone who would work well with Rodgers if Rodgers signs. And I honestly don't know who that might be. If you're going strictly off pedigree and production it would probably be someone like Keenan Allen, but he's 33. You have to wonder how much he has left.

Why do so many fans act like Watt is falling off a cliff?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:56
Because his production fell off at the end of last season. Watt said after the season ended he has to make some adjustments and the coaches should look at everything to free him up more. It was far too easy to scheme him out of games last season because he never moved off his LOLB spot.

Do you think Freiermuth could be the #2 receiver this season, at least in # of catches?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:57
Yes, that could easily happen.

It is obvious that Goodell wants the 18-game schedule to begin ASAP. How soon would that realistically happen and would you anticipate roster expansion when that begins?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:58
The current CBA ends in 2030 so probably sometime after that. I thik it will be a major part of that negotiation.

Give Will Howard a real shot, he has played on the biggest of stage, prolly bigger than most QBs in the league
Ray Fittipaldo

I know a lot of fans would like to see that,

There’s a huge difference between college football and the NFL.  Some fans don’t get that.  That’s why a lot of QBs bust in the NFL.

Very true.

Ray, what’s your gut telling you about Broderick Jones chances of becoming a solid left tackle?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:02
The Steelers better hopes he becomes one.
That's my feeling.

Do you think the Steelers need to spend another early round pick on a DL?  If they have to trade their first, 2nd, and next year’s first to move up, they wouldn’t be able to do that?  What do you think they might do?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:03
Let's see how Harmon and Black play first, but you can make an argument they could draft another one high next year depending, of course, on the quality of the DL class.

What is the infatuation with Justin Fields by some Steeler fans?
Justin Fields 2024
10 games played. Started 6. record 4-2
Only 5 TD passes
YDS per Attempt 6.9
Yards per game 110
fumbles 6
If it wasn’t for Boswell’s FGs and the defense making some very huge plays late he would have 3 less wins.

He played winning football, didn't turn the ball over, executed how the coaches wanted him to play. The funny thing is he did it well, but I think that's the reason he left too. He didn't want to be handcuffed with the offense.
11:05
OK that's all the time I have this week. I'm headed out to watch some football practice in shorts. We'll do another chat next Tuesday.
