You'll see the top-end guys get paid, but I don't think there are many of them. And the rest are sort of interchangeable.

Ray--Thanks for checking the mail. I read an interesting article yesterday about the Steelers "forgotten" draft pick, Spencer Anderson. While the 2023 draft may prove to be one of the best in decades, it seemed to end on a low note with the selection of Anderson. But is it possible this guy's a real diamond in the rough and may make the team based on his versatility?

He's a seventh-round pick. Lots of seventh-round picks don't make it. The one thing to like about Anderson is his versatility. Maybe he takes some time to develop, but it's valuable to be able to play all three positions on the line.

Any thoughts on squib kicking every kickoff to prevent the "fair catch"?

If your kicker is good at it then sure. But kicking that oblong ball on the great distances will have varying degrees of success based off the bounce of the ball.

Ray, has there ever been a less fulfilled cool nickname? Gracias.

When the Maple Leafs were bad they were dubbed the Maple Loafs, which was pretty darn good.

Ray, can the Steelers trade K. Green or do they just have to release him for others to pick him up?
Ray Fittipaldo

Sure they can trade him. The question is: does another team want him?

Ray - How much of Kendrick Greens issues in his rookie year were technique related vs. strength/size related?  Based on what you are hearing from coaches, is it possible for him to make a big enough step forward where he is a viable candidate as backup center?   Is there any glimmer of hope here - or likely what we have historically seen is what we will get.

I understand why a player like Green can struggle in the situation he was thrust into. He played mostly guard in college and then was asked to start at center as a rookie. When you add in the offensive line coach departed in December it's a lot. Definitely not ideal circumstances for any rookie, but at some point he has to embrace the challenge and make himself into a viable NFL player. He still has a ways to go.

Ray, anyMoore supplants Chuks at right tackle after Jones earns the LT position?

Okorafor has a $10-plus dead cap hit this year, so no.

Thanks for all the questions this week. I have to get to practice. We'll do it again next week as minicamp gets underway.
