Is it just me or has Ben been talking too much about HIM, sorta not wanted, last season, let alone this year, thought he says he could play, & does he really think he did a GOOD job last year?
Ray Fittipaldo

I honestly just think he answered questions Ron Cook had for him. It's not like he went out and said these things over a megaphone. He was asked questions and gave his answers.

Ray no question.  Just a thank you to you and the other reporters at the Post Gazette for the fantastic job you guys always do during training camp - and the entire season for that matter - reporting on the Steelers.

Thanks! We're back at it today with the players arriving.

Thanks for the chats Ray.  Why is the NFL taking so long with Watson?  It has been an issue for over a year now.  I am also hearing 4-6 games?  I hate the world we live in now where you are guilty until proven innocent but Ben got 6 games for 2 incidents he wasn't found guilty for.  Unless 20+ women are making this up, 4-6 games is a joke

I agree. It has to be more than 4-6 games.

It seems like Ben still wants to play.  If Watson is suspended what could the Steelers get for Ben?  He probably wants to play for his hometown team.

Ha ha. Ben hates the Browns. He punished them years because they drafted Kellen Winslow instead of him. And Findlay, Ohio is closer to Michigan than Cleveland.

Hi Ray!  It always seemed like the Steelers always telegraphed they were going to try a run play, and fail at it because of predictable plans, do you finally see it changing this year with more than one back on the field at once?
Ray Fittipaldo

I'm not sure what you're talking about with more than one back on the field, but the running game will be better if the offensive line improves. It also should be better because a mobile QB will be behind center, and opposing defense will have to account for Trubisky or Pickett in the running game.

Hi Ray thanks for the chats! I know the Steeler D is touted as 1 of the top defenses and the highest paid at 3 positions. However they were last against the run last year. While the front 7 looks better with Jack in the middle and Tyson back from injury, the run D should be better but by how much? Will Austin and Flores also help the D up front with coaching up a better/different scheme?

Not having Alualu killed them last year. And I think Ogunjobi will be an upgrade over Wormley. Yes, Jack has to fit in and Bush has to be much better, but it all starts up front, and the combo of Alualu and Ogunjobi should help a great deal

Any chance if the rookie receivers have great camps that  Johnson becomes a possible trade chip? No way the Steelers should pay him 20-25 mil a year right?

If they don't sign him they'll use him. What's wrong with a motivated player in a contract year?
12:29
Ok thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do it again next Tuesday.
