Listen, Skylar Thompson played well in the preseason. There is no denying that. However, it's not like he was ever playing against NFL starters.

Yes but there are other issues. Who is the No. 2 WR? Do they have enough quality depth at WR. How about the quality of the DL play? Is the secondary better with Ramsey than MInkah?

Hi Ray. One thing I have noticed about our defense, is it seems very predictable. I haven't seen the defense LeBeau used to run where guys were constantly moving around, and CB blitzing, etc! Has the game changed, is it personnel, or are we looking at specialization of positions? Thank you.

They weren't showing a lot in the preseason. I do know this: Mike Tomlin believes this defense has a chance to be special, and tricking people isn't going to be a big part of what they do.

So Kenny Pickett is on the move again. Did he let the Steelers down or did they let him down? What if Bruce Arians or Ken Whisenhunt had been the OC when they drafted him. Do you think things may have worked out better for all of us?

Two things can be true. It's obvious he didn't walk into a good situation as far as the OC goes. That's well-established. However, the Eagles and now the Browns have also traded him after having him for less than a year. That is very telling.

If I am Darnell Washington and I look at salaries for even middle of the pack LTs, I am putting on weight and making a position change. Do you think he makes that transition to OT?

Not sure, but if it was that easy he would have done it by now. Other TEs like him would have done it too. It's not an easy transition. Right now, Washington makes a good living as a TE.
