Hi Ray. Does Matt Canada call plays from the booth or is he on the sidelines? I've always felt it was an interesting dichotomy. On the sidelines you get more of a visceral feel from the game and players. In the booth you're more removed from the emotion and can see the field of play much better.

Canada plans to call the plays from booth.

Is moving Chuks back to RT an indication that he isn't a good LT, or is the rookie Moore just better than him at LT? Seems awful late in camp to make a switch.
Ray Fittipaldo
1:22
Some combination of that, but Moore played left tackle at Texas A&M the past three years. He is more comfortable there. Don't underestimate that as part of the equation.

Good afternoon Ray who leads Steelers in receiving yards this season go Steelers i think it will be Claypool
Ray Fittipaldo
1:23
I'll say Claypool, but don't forget about Diontae Johnson. If he cleans up his drops he could have a really big year.
Emilio
1:23
Why the Steelers so confident with Chuks as RT? I still thinks he underperforms
Ray Fittipaldo
1:24
It's either him or Joe Haeg. And they obviously believe Chuks is a better option. He was OK at right tackle last year. I didn't think he was very good at left tackle during the preseason.

Some folks at PG were saying that Watt wouldn't need as much as Garrett and Bosa, but now he's expected to be the highest ever. Would you Watt as the highest paid in the league, or trade him for a ransom like NE with Chandler Jones (very similar stats)
Ray Fittipaldo
1:29
I'm not sure who wrote or said that, but Watt was always going to be in that ball park. And no, they're not going to trade him.

How do you think the OLine will hold up this weekend?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:29
I don't know honestly. It's the biggest question I have about this team going into the game.
Jud
1:30
Do you think the Steelers rookies will rise to the challenge?  H3, Harris, DMoore, etc?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:30
They better hope so. Three or four will be in the starting lineup on Sunday.

Have the Steelers signed Mondeaux to PS yet? If not so, is there a reason for it?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:31
I'll have to check the waiver wire to see if another team picked him up. If not, I would have thought they'd sign him to the p-squad by now.
Paul
1:31
Even if TJ signs this week, will he be able to play Sunday even in reduced role?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:31
Yes he will play. How much? I wouldn't expect a normal Watt workload.

Steelers D better or worse than a year ago?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:32
We're going to find out soon. But they were pretty darn good last season. It might be hard to be better than that  unit.

hi ray, the chiefs stunk up the super bowl with a patch work offensive line, not even the great mahomes could overcome the horrid offensive line.  i believe the steelers need to do a significant trade starting offensive tackle for a starting wide receiver (juju). wr is a postion of strenght for the steelers unlike the o-line.  what say you?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:33
Don't hold your breath on that. Linemen don't grow on trees. When you have good ones you usually keep them.

Do we know what the plan is for Witherspoon?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:34
They're bringing him along slowly. Not sure he'll dress this week, but if he does I assume it will be more for special teams than for defense. After this week I suspect he'll push Pierre for playing time.

hi ray how many carries a game do yo see Harris getting a game
Ray Fittipaldo
1:35
18-20. Maybe more if they are ahead and grinding clock.

Ray, if you look at Bosa's and Garrett's contracts, they both have "$100,000 million in guaranteed money".  Will the Steelers go that high, or is TJ going to have to compromise?  Thanks
Ray Fittipaldo
1:37
Maybe there is a compromise somewhere. I don't think it helps the Steelers when players like David DeCastro are cut because they have injuries. That's why players want more guarantees.

Yo Ray Fit.  Is Witherspoon an option opposite of Haden and kick Sutton inside?  Or is he a depth piece??
Ray Fittipaldo
1:37
Depth piece for now.

Can Chris Wormley adequately fill the shoes of Stephon Tuitt until he returns?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:38
In the short-term he'll be OK. The problem comes if Tuitt is out long term. He's a really good player when healthy.
Lou
1:39
Hey Ray....can Ingram play both the ILB and OLB spots?  I assume he can.
Ray Fittipaldo
1:39
He can, but with Watt's situation he's been strictly outside so far.

1:40
If you had your choice for game 1 between the Steeler current O-Line (in its current status) or last years O-Line (as it was a year ago) which one would you pick?  Please elaborate??
Ray Fittipaldo
1:40
Too hard to say. This one has barely played together. I have no idea what to expect on Sunday.
ohtransplant
1:41
What do you think of the Ravens potentially signing Le'Veon Bell. I think they should do it. He'll be great for their locker room! :-)
Ray Fittipaldo
1:41
I don't think Bell has much left, but they sure do like bringing in former Steelers.
still here
1:42
yes but do you think Decastro got cut because he waited so long to address his injury, so close to the season, basically screwing the team that might have been able to pick up a better option earlier?
Ray Fittipaldo
1:43
I have no idea, but the bottom line is he did not get the money is the final year of his contract. Players pay attention to that type of stuff. I guarantee you every player in that locker room is rooting for Watt. If he wins they all win in future negotiations.
