Let's wait to see if the Giants keep him. Oftentimes, teams will sign a guy to get a closer look at him and then cut him if they're not capable of helping them.

Did Adeniyi get any snaps on D on sunday night?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:29
No, he did not. Just on special teams.

How do the Seahawks matchup with the steelers? Like the steelers chances?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:30
I do. Picked the Steelers to win, 24-16, on the North Shore podcast, which can be downloaded right now! We taped it this morning.

Love all fans crying after one freakin game.  Anyway, any update on Sean Davis, Joe Haden, Pouncey and Juju.  Which player(s) will be ready Sunday?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:31
We'll find out more tomorrow when the Steelers return to practice, but Mike Tomlin was optimistic all of them would play Sunday.
Kool-Aid
2:31
Considering the game was long over, Why didn't Tomlin let Rudolph get some playing time? It's not often that a scenario as that would warrant it.
Ray Fittipaldo

Roethlisberger likes to finish games with his offensive linemen.

Looking at Ravens Shedule it really looks a lot easier on paper, I believe they are the team to beat in our division.. it’s early but I think we are in trouble Ray, we will have to sweep them in reality .. don’t you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
That's not news to me. I picked the Ravens to win the division. But I also think the Steelers will be in the race.
The Standard
2:33
more of a concern, offense or defense, going forward?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
Offense. The running game hasn't been good in quite some time. Its a line that's built to pass protect, and they do that job well. But they have to get a lot better in the run game.

Ray, do you think or believe that AB intentionally orchestrated his way out of Oakland?  I want to know what you think as an expert covering the Steelers/NFL.  Thx.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
Yes I do, but I don't fully understand his logic. He left $30 million in guarantees behind in Oakland and only got $9 million in guarantees in New England. Why would anyone orchestrate an exit to become poorer?

Do you see the Steelers playing ola over bud more this season? He seemed to get stuffed quite a bit against the pats.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:35
Ola did not play one snap against the Patriots.

I had worries that the WR corps is not going to cut it before the season, and Sunday only made the angst worse.   Juju is a star, but maybe not a superstar,  and the rest are treading water at this point.  Am I too pessimistic ?  PS I never thought the teams fortunes would improve without Brown,  just the atmosphere.  Thank you Ray
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
It's not time to panic yet. But maybe if they lose I'll allow you to push the button.

How can such a "great" O line not be able to run block. What do you see as the problem herr
Ray Fittipaldo
2:38
Alejandro Villanueva isn't built to run block. He's tall so he's always high. He doesn't do a good job of creating leverage. It's difficult for him because of his height. Ramon Foster is at the end of his career too. They should have run behind the right side of the line. The All-Pro is over there.

From covering AB, what percent do you give him to act accordingly to the Pat's way?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:39
It's only five months, and it seems like he's running out of options if he wants to play in the NFL. So I don't think it's impossible for him to behave for half a year. He's just been so erratic lately that I have a hard time seeing this end well.

Hi Ray, you questioned why would Brown give up 30 million guaranteed vs. 9 million guaranteed.  Since Carr isn't Brady, Brown probably realized his stats could take a huge hit.  And Brown is all about his stats!  Do you feel that had something to do with it?  Thanks!
Ray Fittipaldo
2:41
He's all about the $ so no I don;t buy that theory. He had money guaranteed in Oakland, and he walked away from it.

2:42
to answer your question, google the 2nd year option the pats gave AB
Ray Fittipaldo
2:42
It's the same amount of money he would have made in Pittsburgh.

Does Barron or Bush have the role of Spy on Wilson this weekend?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:43
Not sure if they'll employ a spy, but both are certainly capable of doing that.

2:43
Couldn't Brown be thinking that a good year this year will lead to a huge contract for next year, and so more money overall? There was more guaranteed money in Oakland, but it was for more years, too.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:44
Who is going to pay him big-time money after what he did in Pittsburgh and Oakland? The Patriots don't big money to anyone. Just check Robert Kraft's receipts from the massage parlor.

Any ideas on how the NFL handles scheduling? Specifically, how do the Super Bowl champions play 8 teams that didn't make the playoffs to start the season?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:47
NFL teams play four new opponents every year from the other conference. They also play four new teams from their own conference plus six in-division games. That's 14 of the 16 games. THe other two are determined by where teams finished in their division the previous season. For example, the Steelers finished second in the AFC North last year so they'll play the second-place teams from the AFC West and the AFC South this year.

Ray,  love your chats.  I'm very concerned that if the Steelers lose to the Seahawks Sunday they simple will not rebound this season.  Your thoughts please.
Ray Fittipaldo
2:48
0-2 isn't a death sentence in the NFL, but it is an uphill climb to make the playoffs. By the way, since 1990, 0-1 teams have a 25 percent chance to make the playoffs. Sorry to ruin your Tuesday!

In your opinion, who will have a bigger role in offense moving forward: Washington, McDonald, or Moncrief
Ray Fittipaldo
2:49
I hope it's either Washington or McDonald.

Seemed to me that the 3rd and goal from the one was the perfect time for Benny Snell Football.  Run him with a lead blocker (I didn’t know Nix was hurt - so someone else) behind Pouncey, DeCastro and Frieler.  Too old school?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:50
What did Benny Snell do during the preseason that makes you think he'd be a better option than James Conner or Jaylen Samuels in that situation? He has a ways to go in his development.
Um...
2:51
Don't think poorer is the right choice of words when we are talking millions...less filthy rich maybe?  Be seriously, he had to orchestrate that to get on a super bowl team.  Maybe that is worth more than money?
