Way too early to say, but Omar Khan is always looking for ways to improve his team.

Any chance steelers could use Mt. Washington for a tush push ?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:30
They could if he's able to take a snap from center. I've just never seen him do that.

What is the answer for stopping the over the middle passes to TEs?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:31
Better communication.

What's more likely: Skowronek is the leading receiver this week, Johnson runs a KO back for a TD, or Boswell is short on an extra point?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:32
Skowronek for sure. You only need to get like 40 yards some weeks to be the Steelers' leading receiver.

Why do fans think that players can switch positions at the drop of a hat?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:32
And in-season ha ha

Ben R says the Steelers D is vanilla and that the Steelers regulated outcoached. Everyone pretty much can see this, as well as the O line issues. Why is there never any accountability?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:33
Well, Tomlin said yesterday it's been vanilla because of the injuries. He has plans when his starters are healthy. However, I will point out the defense didn't look great when Porter and Elliott played early against the Jets.

Ray what do you think about the play of TJ And Cam vs the Patriots i think they looked Good GO STEELERS
Ray Fittipaldo
10:34
They looked really good. Cam has been good for the past two games.

Hi Ray, how did Harmon and Black look on the DL?  How were they used?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:35
Harmon played 35 snaps and looked good. I think he'll be even better. That was his first NFL game.

How do the Steelers perceive their first 3 weeks? As I see it, they should be 0-3 with their performances but ground out a couple of wins late. Do they realize and admit how bad their play was or are they still believing they are true contenders and their play will improve?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:38
It's the NFL. Sometimes you have to win ugly. Very clearly the Steelers are working through some issues on offense and defense, but they are 2-1. If they can fix their issues they should be better.

Good morning Ray. Thanks for the great work and doing these chats. I get the fan base angst but feel we all need to calm down some. They’re in first place, have a chance to go 3-1 into the bye and the opportunity to get healthy and work out the issues during the bye. Baltimore ‘s vaunted defense gives up just as many points and they can’t get out of their own way to win either. Not saying this team’s Super Bowl caliber but let’s let it develop. Do you agree?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:40
For sure. If we're seeing the same issues in November and December then we'll know how it's going to end.
AK
10:41
Boswell is the best kicker in the league, yes?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:41
Boswell or the guy from Dallas.

In the past Steelers players have spoken up to try to get deserving teammates in the HoF.  Has that not happened with Greenwood, the most egregious HoF snub?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:42
I think they'll eventually make a push for Greenwood. For whatever reason, Shell went in first. It's in the hands of the senior's committee now.

Hi Ray, I normally agree with your report card, but I think you were to complacent with the Defense side of the ball this week.  Does turnovers really forgive bad performances?
Ray Fittipaldo
10:45
Should have I ignored them? It's not like the Patriots were fumbling on their own. The Steelers forced them. You have to give them credit for that. Just like you have to give Heyward credit for tipping the pass at the LOS when he wasn't getting to the QB.

Hi Ray, what is probability of rushing 100 yards
Ray Fittipaldo
10:46
Against the Steelers defense? High. The Steelers doing it? Not so high.

Ray - What's going on with the play calling.  I feel like this offense would find better rhythm if we were able to hit a comeback or an easy hitch at times.  Rodgers doesn't seem to want to hit that back foot and release like he's looking for a big play constantly.  Also while protection hasn't been great it looks like he's unwilling to step up in the pock and has ran himself into some sacks.
Ray Fittipaldo
10:47
He's unwilling to step up into the pocket because it collapses around him more often than there is a clean pocket.
10:48
OK thanks for all the great questions this week. We'll do another chat next week during the off week.
