10-6 probably gets you in. For the Steelers they'd have to be 10-5-1 I am guessing, which means they'd have to win 9 of the final 12 games. Does anyone out there think that's possible? Me neither.
Browns 2.0
12:26
Now that we are effectively the Browns, when does the defensive coaching staff get put on the hot seat?  Something has to change...
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
I think they're already on the hot seat.

Good Morning Ray! Can I expect Rex Ryan to replace KButler soon?  Sorry, I live in a dreamworld.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
Would Rex Ryan get to run his defense?
Patrick
12:27
A few years ago when Len Bias died, it was said to have set back the Celtics for many years. Do you think the injury to Ryan Shazier is having the same impact on the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:27
He's been missed, but football is much different than basketball. You have 22 starters in football, only five in basketball. It should not set your team back years.

Two part question.  Do the Steelers have the cap numbers left to give Bell what he wants and Do you think they would ever consider it after all that has been said on both sides?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
No and no.
JoeB
12:28
Was Thomas running at gunner on punt coverage? He forced several fair catches and was the first one to the returner multiple times. They really need to give him a go at ILB.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:29
Maybe that's coming. They can't get any worse, can they?
Nate
12:29
Your thoughts on how we decided to only rush 3, no blitz all night, and give Flacco about 5-7 seconds each play to wait for a receiver to get open?  Any qb with that much time can pick a defense apart.....even one as average (below average) as Flacco.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:29
He's not average when he plays at Heinz Field.
Rob Rogers
12:30
James Conner impressed me with his tackle on the Ravens defender after that interception. Any thought of transferring him to ILB, his more natural position?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
I think that's a great idea.
Jesse
12:30
Ray, it has to be coaching on the defensive side right?  The front office cant have that many misses?  The defense seemed to be much better when the HC was less involved.  Mr. Rooney may need to put his foot down and force Tomlin to hire someone and give them full control.  Agree?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
Maybe. But that wont happen until the end of the season. We still have to watch them play 12 more times!
Bruz
12:31
What a mess.  Any idea who the Steelers could get for Bell?  On Defense?  On Offense?  Sorry that’s 3.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
I'd take a second-round draft pick.

You da Man Ray!  Am I crazy thinking everyone who wants Ben gone is crazy?!  Does anyone remember the ‘80’s??
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
Roethlisberger did not play well Sunday night. But he's not this team's biggest problem.
JoeB
12:31
Were you surprised that Fort went in when Williams was hurt?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
A little, yeah. I guess that means Thomas isn't ready yet.

Ray I feel like yesterday's game was a sad ending to the Steelers' season.  How do they fix their numerous problems?  They have to face at least four top QB's in the next month or so.  The defense is not going to look any different.  What do you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
I'm starting to play my January tasks around the house.
Tprod
12:32
What happened to Tuitt? Outside of a couple of penalties he was invisible.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
Not a good showing for Tuitt in the first four games. The defensive line was supposed to be a strength and none of those guys have played all that well.

Do you see coaching changes (OC, DC, ST) at year's end?  The HC is not in jeopardy this year so that narrative should be put to rest.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
If things continue to go in this direction I could see major changes being made.
SteelCity
12:34
Do you believe the organization is understanding the value of Bell?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:35
They have so many problems. Bell is down the list.
Rkapur
12:35
Any thought to them potentially moving Finney in at left guard to try to kick start the running game-now with deCastro back? Ramon seems to not be the same since his injury in camp and seems to be slower off the ball.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:36
I'd have to watch the game and concentrate on him to see if that's something they want to do. But something is wrong and Foster would be a candidate to lose his job given his age and contract situation.
Kyle

I like the NBC camera angle from behind the QB. It truly shows a lot. One play stood out to me though. Vince Williams lined up directly across from Crabtree. On the snap, he lets Crabtree get a free release into the middle of the field for an easy 10 yard pickup. Thank god Crabtree dropped it but how does that happen? If the pass rush is not getting home they have to disrupt the routes no?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
You gave one example. There were about 20 others of the same ilk. They just can't cover well enough.
JoeB
12:37
Is there a rift between Ben and AB? After a miscommunication, they basically ignored each other on the sideline. In seasons past, when they missed, it seemed they would talk about it on the sideline.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
Both keep saying no, but their actions say otherwise.
The Scandal
12:38
Hey Ray! If Bell holds out all year, would you want the Steelers to tag him and try to negotiate long term deal again or say “peace out”?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
"Peace out"

A lot of blame fell on Carnell Lake.. I never hear a word or see anything on Coach Bradley..and on paper we have more talent... Thoughts?
