Cam Heyward had the same injury in 2016 and came back from it just fine. I think he made All-Pro in 2017 as a matter of fact.

Ray, you mentioned the struggles of the receivers getting open.  Is this more inexperience, the change at QB, or all of the above?

Probably a little bit of everything. The new QBs don't help matters. But there are guys in different roles. JuJu is going from being a No. 2 to being a No. 1. Other guys are moving up a notch in the rotation as well.

Any update on the injuries to Watt, Haden and Connor

Not yet. They are practicing now and there will be an open locker room after practice. We might get an update then. But this week isn't important. This week is mostly for the backups. Anyone who is injured won't be practicing.

Im confused about practice squad. Why sign L T Walton when you have people in the practice squad in the waiting? If Walton is the better option, why wasn’t he on the practice squad to begin with?

Well, they know him and he's been a part of the DL rotation the past four seasons. That comfort level probably has more to do with it than anything. Henry Mondeaux is the DL on the practice squad. He's new to the team this year.

Heres a trivia question. Which of the following QB's has been in the most recent Super Bowl? Kaepernick or Ben
Ray Fittipaldo

Well, Kaepernick obviously. He went in 2012. Ben in 2010. But what does that have to do with anything? There are lots of quarterbacks who went to Super Bowls that weren't great quarterbacks. What about Craig Morton? Vince Ferragamo? Tony Eason? Stan Humphries? I can go on and on.

Ok thanks for all the questions this week. I have to get out to practice. We'll do a longer chat next week at the usual time.
