Hi Ray,  If Myles Garret has his QB Grave Yard, maybe TJ could have a QB naughty list.  Doesn't he have as many victims as MG?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
He has more.

Has Harmon  become the glue that solidified this run defense? Seems upon his insertion, the run defense got a lot better.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
The defense has played really well since he returned and DC Teryl Austin was effusive in his praise of Harmon this week.

O line question- Brod Jones did better by the eye test. He had help against Garrett but didn't get wrecked when he was one on one either. What are your thoughts on his growth the last few games? PFF have him a rating of 14. (That being said they gave Garrett a better rating than Watt, with no sacks and 2 pressures... Eye roll....)
Ray Fittipaldo
12:27
Jones has been better. They've helped him with their scheme too.

Hey Ray... do you think the Steelers offense is finally not as predictable as we have seen in the last 5 years? Also, really nice to put points on the board with opening drives, instead of down 7-0. Thanks Ray
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
Yes, the first-quarter scoring has been a nice development for the offense this season. That had been severely lacking for years.

12:28
Ray. What are your thoughts on the field conditions in last weeks’s game. It seems the NFL and the Steelers should be able to do better. Are they using the wrong type of sod? Should they resod more often?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
Pitt had four games there in a five-week stretch plus the Steelers had a preseason game and a Week 2 game there. That's a lot of games in a short period of time. But to your point, in a multi-billion dollar industry the NFL and its teams need to do better. If they have to replace the sod four times a year rather than three they should do it. They lost Miles Killebrew for the season. His career might be over. That's reason enough to do more than the status quo.

12:31
Ray. Any update on Killebrew’s injury?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
No, but Tomlin has referred to it as "significant."

When a team plays a Thursday game, is it like a mini bye week for players from Friday on or do they report as normal?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
If they won they probably get a Victory Friday. If they lose they might have to come in for film and run.

What is the fascination of fans with trading Highsmith?  Herbig is playing really well, but what happens if Herbig gets hurt and Highsmith is gone?  A 3-4 team needs to be 4 deep at OLB and the Steelers finally are.  Trading Highsmith would be beyond foolish.

If the Joseph story holds up in Indy and with Baker and Mac Jones reinvented, is there a new trend of finding your new QB on the used car lot?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
Absolutely. The draft is not a sure thing. Mayfield is playing like an MVP. And to think, the Browns just gave him away for nothing.
AK
12:34
Some fans are talking like the division is sewn up.  Nothing is clinched in werk 7! The Steelers remaining schedule is tough while the Ravens is not, correct?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:35
You're right. Long way to go. But if the Steelers win tonight a four-game lead over the Ravens in mid-October would be hard to blow.
AK
12:35
Who do you think is the most underrated player on the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:35
Can we still say Herbig is underrated? Or is the cat out of the bag?
Just The Truth
12:36
The Browns are toast this year and they know it. They want to see what they have in their young QBs. Flacco will not be starting for the Bengals next year. So, what is wrong with trading him to a place where he was given the opportunity to start right away? I feel like they did him a solid. What business is it of Tomlin's anyway?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
Giving up on a season in early October, helping a QB-needy team within the division and not trying to be competitive in a competitive league is what set Tomlin off.

12:38
Ray, how do you anticipate the contracts working out with Herbig, Highsmith, and Watt?  They’ll definitely extend Herbig, right?  Would they pay three OLBs starting money?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
You have to pay Herbig. They'll have to make a call on Highsmith and whether they can afford to pay three starters at that position. Highsmith likely become the casualty, but not until a later date.

12:39
Ray, do you fly to Cinci, or take 70 to 71, with a pit stop in Zanesville?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:40
Ah Zainesville. Did you know it's the pottery capital of the world? And they have a mighty fine Sheetz we stop at as the midway point in our ride out.
FirstTimeLongTime
12:40
Ray - you'd take the bet of more passing yards tonight by Old Joe over Old Aaron right?  Also find it odd given our WR depth that we haven't seen Muth more involved in that regard (Or Jonnu) Split out wide or in the slot more.  Let's just lean into playing jumbo!
Ray Fittipaldo
12:40
Yes because the Bengals could be in catchup mode. Plus, they don't even try to run the ball.
12:41
Or at least they haven't til this point in the season.
Latham
12:41
I'm seeing a lot of Jakobi Meyers trade buzz - do you think we pick him up? someone else?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
I think Omar will keep his eyes open and if he can improve the team at the deadline he will.
Cdub
12:42
Metcalf is a beast.  Did he want out of Seattle or did Seattle, for some reason, want him gone?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
He requested a trade.

12:42
Are you hip to Skyline Chili, and do you dig it, if you are?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
Never had it and never will.

12:43
Last year, Wilson picked apart the Bengals over the middle.  Could that be done again, with Muth?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:43
Wilson mostly targeted Najee over the middle as I recall. But yes, the Bengals defense is so bad they can probably pick any part of the field and have success.
