It was great to see Mason rebound nicely from a horrible 1st quarter.  His receivers made some acrobatic catches.  However, the main question I have is... how is James Connor's shoulder?  Has there been any determination on the severity of his injury?

Not yet, but it's a short week after playing on Monday night. One less day to heal up. Tomlin didn't rule him out. The good news is Jaylen Samuels is healthy and can start if Conner can't go.

IF mason rudolph turns out to be the REAL deal, any chance ben gets traded to tampa bay for a high draft pick?  Ben could finish out his career with Arians, who desperately could use a veteran QB to give him time to find and groom a youngster.

If the Steelers are convinced Mason Rudolph is the real deal they'll sign him to a second contract and he'll take over for Roethlisberger after he retires.

Why the poof field conditions? It didn't rain all day, but yet the field looked like it was in horrible condition. Players from both teams had poor footing all night.

Well, Pitt did play there on Saturday. That never helps the playing surface. It's unfortunate for the Steelers. They always have to play on a bad field after Pitt uses it the same weekend.

Hi Ray, what a scary first half but a great outcome.  Watching the game from the UK I'm shocked how many empty seats I saw at Heinz Field.  Me and others would love to be there....what's up with these fair weather fans.

Well, it was the Dolphins. And season ticket holders do not like these night games. If you have children you want to bring it makes it almost impossible to go. So fans try to sell them or simply don't use their tickets.

Did you notice the difference between Fitzpatrick and Edmunds on the interception. Edmunds got lost, turned around and was a step behind while Mincah played it perfectly, was a step ahead and made the pick. Why did we pick Terrell in the 1st round again? The comparison shows perfectly just how overdrafted he was (even if if was late 1st).

Fitzpatrick was the No. 11 overall pick in the 2018 draft while Edmunds was No. 30. There is a pretty big difference in talent when picking at those two spots.

The defense seems to be getting better every week.  Turns close to 3 per game.  Fitz is a great trade at this point.  Is the needle still pointing up and they will continue to improve?

Time will tell. He's certainly not distinguishing himself as a playmaker. I do give him credit for not getting injured very often. That's valuable for coaches. They like to know they can depend on players.

I'm with you. I've never been a fan of offensive players being able to do that while defensive players are prohibited from doing it. It's a double standard.

Schefter reported that Ben's surgery was "worse than Tommy John" during the pregame last night.  Is this just typical Schefter hyperbole?  Is it possible given how the team operates and how Ben has conducted himself over the last 9 years that Schefter would have more info about Ben's injury than any of the local reporters?

I was at the game so I didn't see the report. Everything we've been told by the Steelers is they expect him back by next summer, maybe even OTAs in the spring.

I've answered this before, and it's nothing against Conner, but the Steelers have to pay T.J. Watt and JuJu SMith-Schuster from that draft class before they even start thinking about re-signing him.

I don't feel great about the Steelers after what I witnessed in the first half against the Dolphins. Maybe they'll come out and play lights out early like they did in Los Angeles. If they do that they'll have a chance. They'll have no chance if Rudolph comes out and struggles for two quarters again.

Not a lot of separation by the WRs last night.  Most pundits think the Steelers will draft an OLB to replace Dupree with their 2nd rounder this coming draft.  Isn't a speed WR even more of a need?  I think the tragic pick of James Washington over DJ Chark will haunt this team for a while.

The Steelers would have to break their long-held stance of not negotiating contracts in the middle of a season. And I don;t see that happening.
