The Colts got too far behind to hand it off any more than they did, which was fine with the Steelers. They wanted the game in Daniel Jones' hands. The one thing they did not want was Taylor controlling the game.

Fans think that trading for picks means guaranteed success😂.  That's why they propose trading Muth as well as others.
Ray Fittipaldo

Live for the now. They're 5-3 and the division isn't looking very strong.

Do you think Pouncey will get in the HOF eventually?  What about Ward, Greenwood, DeCastro?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:00
Of those four I think Ward has the best chance.

Are these cute outfits teams sometimes wear these days mandatory and who springs for them?  They must cost a small fortune.
Ray Fittipaldo

It'$ called merchandi$e $ale$.

Hi Ray!  When Heyward runs the Tush Push can we give it a name for Pittsburgh's version.  How about the Steeler Surge?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:01
I think Batko wanted to dub it the Pittsburgh Plunge.
Henry Hill

Greetings Ray; do you think Sunday's Defense shows up in LA on Sunday night or will it be another Bungals/Pack debacle? I think they do just enough, frustrate Herbert, and pull out a 26-24 win.
Ray Fittipaldo
11:02
I wish I knew. I don't think they know.

Are Wilson and Austin just not getting open or is there a confidence issue where Rodgers just doesn't trust either in an important down and distance?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:03
Austin had six catches for 56 yards against the Colts.

Ray: It looked to me like Brod Jones was back to his habit of not sustaining his blocks long enough.  Is this a physical or technique problem or a lack of focus or effort?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:05
All of the above except for effort. I don't think it's a lack of effort for Jones. He's definitely not physical enough. He does not have a nasty streak. His technique for the most part is not good although he will have some good sets here and there. As for the focus, Pat Meyer said that was an issue last year. Not sure if it is this season as well, but Meyer told us that last fall. He said it's part of the growing process for a young lineman.

Ray: trade deadline day.  At 5-3 with two wins over 7-2 teams, has this team shown enough to give away future picks for short term rentals?  Last week I definitely would have rather seen them sell than buy, but things change quickly in the NFL.
Ray Fittipaldo
11:06
I could see them adding if the deal is right. I don't think they'll overpay for any of these bigger names WRs though.

When people use the term”garbage time” are they talking about a prevent defense and WHY do teams change what has been working so well all game to go to that??? Drives me crazy
Ray Fittipaldo

It's done to bleed clock.

Hi Ray, Who would you pick to win if the Steelers have to face the Colts on the road in the playoffs?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:08
Hmmm, I think it would be a good game, but I might have to pick the Colts if that happened.

Ray! It's been a hot minute. Is there a QB playing in college right now who you would like quarterbacking the Steelers next season?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:09
Not really, but it's still early.

Any chance Muth, Highsmith or Slay get dealt by the Steelers today?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:09
Not Freiermuth or Highsmith.

Where in the world is Kaleb Johnson? Is he a bust yet?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:11
Jaylen Warren is a really good back and Kenneth Gainwell is a pretty good backup. I don't know what kind of expectations others had for Johnson, but I thought all along Warren would get an opportunity to be RB1. And he's done nothing to lose the job. So Johnson sits and waits. That's how it goes sometimes for rookies.

Hi Ray, Is this the year the Chiefs miss the playoffs?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:12
I don't think so. I still think the Chiefs and Bills are the two best teams in the AFC. Not sure if the playoff seeding will reflect that, but I think the Chiefs will get in and probably do damage.

Do you think the team regrets not keeping Pickens for the yr? None of our rumored WR trade targets are as good as him, as he’s been playing great in Dallas
Ray Fittipaldo
11:12
Heck no. Did you see him get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty last night? They made the right move.
Steve in Canton
11:12
Who's your early vote for Steelers rookie of the year?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:13
Gotta be Harmon
Rocky B
11:13
Is MVS even better than Scotty Miller?  He’s been on practice squads all year. Scotty has great speed to spread the field if they chose to use him that way
Ray Fittipaldo
11:14
They're totally different players so I'm not sure it's fair to compare. The issue for this offense is Rodgers spreads it around so well I don't know how much of an impact any WR will make. Rodgers tries and usually does get 6 or 8 pass catchers involved every week.

I asked BB yesterday the same question… my wife does not understand Steelers fans… if we lose we are extremely upset, but if we win we are mad because it should have been easier than it was… we are never happy she says! But amazing win. Will be in LA next Sunday to watch the game. Can we meet you there??? Thanks and love your work!

Have fun at the game. I'll be there early so look me up. SoFi is a really nice venue.

Hi Ray.  I like your grades for the Colts game.  So at 5 - 3 at the almost halfway point, how do you see the second half shaping up?  Prediction of final record?
Ray Fittipaldo
11:17
I'm going to say 10-7.

Will Roman Wilson be in Tomlin’s dog house with his unnecessary hurdle leading  to the fumble at a critical time well after the first down marker.
