We'll see what happens to your hope after this second half of the schedule, but I think this is their best shot to win a playoff game since 2020 when they had a home game and lost to the Browns. Ouch.

Is 11-6 a reachable target and can that win the North?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:29
Yes and yes. The Ravens have a tough second half of the schedule too. I bet both teams are hoping to avoid each other in the first round knowing how that series has gone over the years.

Ray, As someone that lives in the Detroit Mrkt. I was privy to the weekly Cam Sutton as the Lions weak link in their secondary & defense. It was bad & not just the toasting he took in their NFC championship loss that Lions fans point to with a slightly unfair vigor to convince themselves that their HC Dan Campbell's foolish & repeated mistakes with 4th downs & FGs wasn't the main cause. He hasn't played well in well over a season and not at all this year. With the secondary seemingly coming together as a unit, is injecting him more risky that reward at this point?

It doesn't sound like Tomlin agrees with you. Listening to him today it seems like he wants to get Sutton involved right away.

Did the Steeler's have 7.5 million in cap space for Williams, are the Jets eating any of his salary or do they (can they) cut players to make room.
Ray Fittipaldo

They're only on the hook for $2 million or so.

Hi Ray. Realistically how close are the Steelers to the Chiefs and Bill's? Both thier QBs are elite game changers. And we saw last year what Allen did to the Steelers in the playoffs
Ray Fittipaldo

Yeah you have to give them the edge in QB play although if Wilson continues to play well that gap will get tighter. I would have put Houston in that category at the beginning of the season, but the Texans are really banged up now and Stroud hasn't played as well as he did last year as a rookie.

Ray out the 4 free agents you mentioned which one do you think has the best chance to return
Ray Fittipaldo

If I had to pick one I'd say Harris, but I don't think that's going to happen either. People talk a lot about Dan Moore, but he's going to command big money. Plus, they invested high picks in Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu. Unless they commit to playing Fautanu at guard I don't see it happening.

Does fields get into the games in the future as a runner or change of pace qb?
Ray Fittipaldo

Tomlin wants his opponents to think so, but how do you take Wilson out of the game when he's playing as well as he is now.

What % chance the Steelers hold on to Najee?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
I'll go with 15%.

Ray, why not just resign claypool? He's significantly better than Williams, and wouldn't have cost them a 5th and $2mil

Hey Ray, do you think Big Calais Campbell would be a good option for the D-Line? Looks like he still has some gas in the tank and has always been good at knocking down passes.

That's not a bad call as a rental. Stay tuned. Khan is still working the phones.

Well, there you go. OK folks, time to get back to work and write about these moves. Hopefully we have more time to chat next week.
