He seems to be much more confident with his bull rush. He's using his quickness at opportune times. Still has to increase his sack production, but he's playing better than he ever has.

Hi, Ray.  Is it safe now to say the Steelers are clearly the class of the AFC North?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
The Bengals are fading. I'm not closing the door yet on the Ravens, whose second-half schedule isn't all that difficult.

Ray...What's wrong with more Jaylen Samuels?...hes a big young back
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
Well, they have been using him more in recent weeks. Maybe they want to see what they have in him in case they do need him down the stretch.

Do you see a difference in maturity with this team compared to last year?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
Yes I do. No Mike Mitchell and no Le'Veon Bell has helped that.

What’s your prediction on score?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:38
Jaguars 23, Steelers 20.
Dj Cain

Ray was Rex Ryan out of bounds yesterday morning saying some of the Players do not want Bell back on this team?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:39
I don't think so.

Any NFL discipline for hot rod Brown?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:39
No. he played Thursday night. It happened Thursday morning.

Every team has a team that is their kryptonite. For the Steelers, I think this is the Jaguars. Talk me off the ledge.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
I agree with you. It hasn't been a good matchup. Fournette was a big problem for the Steelers last year in both games. Bortles played well in both games. We'll see if the Steelers changes things up and try a different game plan. In the end, they have to win the battle of the line of scrimmage. They didn't do that on offense or defense in those two meetings against the Jaguars last year.

Being that they flexed the Jags game out of prime time, is there any chance they flex in the Chargers game to prime time?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
No, the Chargers game is protected. Will stay original time.

Im of the opinion that Connor's North-south style of running is a much better fit for PIT than Bell's East-west 'patient' style ever was, which is evident in tone-setting, redzone and short yard situational improvements this year. While Bell may be a better player, Conner looks to be a better fit scheme-wise. Thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
You might onto something.

hardest game left on schedule...Pats or Saints?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
I'll say Saints because it's on the road. Pats game will be tough though.

With Bell not expecting to report...I think we nominate Conner for the No Bell prize!  What do you think?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:43
How about the No-Bell peace prize because there has been so much less drama.

Ray 6-2-1 after losing arguably their best offensive player (Bell) and defensive player (Shazier) is pretty impressive feat. Not sure many other teams could pull that off.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:44
You're right. Nice job by the coaching staff after the 1-2-1 start.

Fitchner is calling some good games wouldn’t you say?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
Yes especially in the red zone. Leads the league in RZ efficiency.
So Cal Steeler Fan
12:46
Wow, Ray. You think the Steelers get beat this Sunday?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:47
I think the Jaguars know their season is on the line, and I think they are a bad matchup for the Steelers.
Gregory
12:47
How is it possible that Bell's agent did not know the rules of the franchise tag?   Not believable, Bell must be in Pittsburgh to report.  Just too hard to believe he/they are that incompetent.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:47
You'd be surprised how incompetent a lot of agents are.

Is James Conner a all pro
Ray Fittipaldo
12:48
Trending in that direction for sure. Main competition is Kareem Hunt, but even if Hunt gets first-team All-Pro at RB, Conner could get first-team flex.
Patrick Nelson
12:48
If bell doesn’t show up and Conner gets seriously hurt, who would the Steelers sign for rb depth?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:49
Hopefully not Ben Tate.
Richard
12:49
Have we been successful on all QB sneaks?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:49
If not all of them, most of them.
Dj Cain
12:49
Ray I think you are wrong! This Steelers team know they need to beat Jacksonville!!! This team is playing like a team destined, and they are out to prove that they are a team better without Bell! Steelers 42 Jags 10!! Screenshot this and post next week

Thanks for all the questions this week. We'll do it again next week at the same time.
