No. He's learning on the job. I think you look for small areas of growth. For example, he didn't turn the ball over. That is a focus for him.

With Frank Riech out and about, do we pursue him as our new OC?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:33
Sure...if he wants to work. He can sit back and collect some big paychecks from Irsay if he wants to take a break.

Has the PG considered adding a way to "like" answers in your sports chats? I think you'd be really surprised how many people enjoy your insightful answers, as well as that of your fellow other PG writers.

I'll have to check into that and add it to the suggestion box.

What are the chances the Steelers Christmas Eve game gets flexed to a day game?
Ray Fittipaldo

None.

Good afternoon Ray what do you think about the play of kazee vs saints and Warren
Ray Fittipaldo
2:36
I thought Kazee was really good. They have two safeties on cheap contracts playing well. Edmunds, for what they're paying him, is a nice bargain.

The Steelers looked good against the Saints - more indicative of a bad Saints team or a turn of the corner at the halfway mark that will carry through for the rest of the season?
Ray Fittipaldo

I guess we'll see Sunday. I know the Bengals aren't playing well, but they're talented with Burrow and Boyd and Mixon.

Pickett at times looks very inaccurate, I didn’t follow him in college, what’s up with throwing the ball 15 yards out of bounds when he isn’t trying to throw it away? Is it a grip issue. Announcers even commented about given WR a chance. Int jitters?

He was very erratic in the first half. I think overall his completion percentage is OK, but he definitely has to improve on those intermediate and long routes.
When is the draft?
2:39
Ray, appreciate your routine steeler insight. If we are picking in the #10 range that should put us in line for an OT/DT. And sets us up well for perhaps a G and/C with our 2nd rounders. What says you?
Ray Fittipaldo
2:39
All depends on how the draft falls, but if you're picking in the top 10 there should be a really good DL/EDGE or OT in that range.

How close do you believe this division is going end up?
Ray Fittipaldo

I think the Ravens could win it by two or three games. The Bengals have the first-place schedule so they still have to play the Chiefs and Bills and Buccaneers not to mention the Ravens again.

Ok thanks for all the questions this week. Time to get back to work. Let's do it again next Tuesday.
