No there is no good excuse, but they've been bad tacklers for large portions of the season. Don't really see it getting better.

Ray, win the next 3 and pretty much wrap up home field, lose the next 3 and and possibly end up the 6th seed.  What record do you give the Steelers during this stretch?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:17
1-2.

Will their be lots of flags and dirtiness in tonight’s game? Think Burfict and Jones will try to do something stupid?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:17
They usually do. Don't think tonight will be any different.

Hi Ray, I was just curious about the development of Brian Allen? I know he was a long term project coming out of college.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:19
He's playing some on special teams. Don't really have plans for him on defense unless there are injuries.
Bedford Bill
12:19
If you had to pick the game or games the Steelers lose, which would it or they be?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:19
Bengals.
Bedford Bill
12:19
What di you think of Gronk's hit yesterday?  Suspension coming?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:20
Hefty fine for sure. And maybe a game too. You can really hurt someone doing what he did.
Ryno
12:20
How do you think our defensive line stacks up against the Bengals' offensive line?  Think we will get some good pressure on the quarterback tonight?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:21
Yes the Bengals are average across the line. The d-line and edge rushers have to win some of their one on ones. If they do they'll get to Dalton again.
Bedford Bill
12:21
It seems like other teams are getting better (Bengals, Ravens, Pats) and Steelers not improving, especially defensively.  I know the Steelers still ranked high defensively but the eye test as of late is a little disturbing compared to stats.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:22
I tend to agree with you. Left lots to be desired the past few games. Need to pick it up. Tonight would be a good time to do that if Brown can't play
Azazael7862
12:23
In your opinion, do you think we will use the NE game to strategize for the playoffs or do we play to win?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:23
Huh? To quote Herm Edwards "You play to win the game." It's for the No. 1 seed and a home playoff game. Of course you try to win.

Will pass on. Thanks

You just 'picked' the Steelers to lose tonight. When Dalton comes off the field with that patented angry red headed step child scowl of disillusionment on his face, I want you to recall and reflect Ray.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:24
Will do. But you asked which would they could afford to lose. This is the one for reasons I outlined earlier.

12:25
Hi Ray.  AJ Green aside, which back or receiver from Cinci does the defense need to pay extra close attention?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:25
Joe Mixon. Ran well vs. the Steelers in October. Then the Bengals inexplicably went away from him. He's now their undisputed No. 1 back and the Steelers had better be ready for a larger dose of him tonight.
Dave Bradley
12:26
Haven't heard anything specific on the nature of Brown's toe injury. What are we looking at? Turf toe, blister?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:26
Don't think it's turf toe.
Timmy
12:27
Why was Watson release and Touissant brought back?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
Just because you're on the practice squad doesn't mean you;re relegated to it all season. And just because you're on the 53-man roster doesn't mean you're on it all season. Sometimes the coaches like to reward players that practice hard and challenge players on the roster to practice harder. I don't know that to be the case in this instance, but it's happened in the past. Plus, I think the coaches wanted Fitz available for special teams purposes
Ken Ward
12:28
Hi Ray. Do you think we have seen the last of James Harrison? I thought we was great at the end of the Chiefs game, and then nothing. Thanks.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:29
No but his opportunities are dwindling.
Jason
12:29
If Bell has lost a step this season and wouldn’t sign an offer this off season what are the Steelers going to do next year?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
If he still wants $15 or 16 million a year on a long term deal he's not going to get it from the Steelers. Maybe the $14.5 million on the one-year tag. They can just play it year to year.

Ray, if you run ov... into Chris Collinsworth before tonights game, could you please ask him on the behalf of the TV viewing audience to let the game breath... please.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
Will do, but this is an ESPN game. You'll be getting the analysis from Gruden
Ryno
12:31
The last time they met, Burfict was well handled and a non-factor.  I forget who mainly shut him down.  Think that can happen again?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
FB Rosie Nix played a season high in snaps that game and did a nice job vs. Burfict. They could try that again although Nix hasn't played very much in recent weeks.
NC Steel
12:33
Ray, do the Steelers ask their OLBs to drop in coverage more than other teams playing a 3-4?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:33
Yes they do. Some 3-4 edge rushers rush almost all the time. The Steelers don't do that. They drop their OLBs into coverage often.
KJ
12:33
How do you expect the Bengals to come after the Steelers tonight? Do you think the Steelers may have their hands full with Green and Mixon?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
Have to shut down the run so Dalton doesn't opportunities to throw down the field to Green. That will be key
david

How many games do you think Rob Gronkowski should be suspended for?
