I watched the highlights of Connors and would say he run like
Bettis wrecking ball when is running . What do you think? Give him a nickname the wrecking ball
Ray Fittipaldo
12:44
Mark Recchi has a copyright on the Wrecking Ball, I think. Or maybe Mike Lange does.

Hi Ray, please tell the chat participants no more questions about Revis.

Hi Ray the D lineman we added from the Jaguars was a 9th over all pick when he was selected years ago. Do you know what happened to him, he seems like an unknown for that high a pick?? Thank you
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
He was solid in Jax. Probably like Ziggy Hood was for the Steelers. Just not someone worth bringing back at a high price.
M. Bryant

Since I'm not 6'4'', 230 lbs and running a 4.27 in the 40, if I don't ever smoke weed again, am focused & remain healthy, can I be the best WR in the NFL?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
One of the best, sure.

Do the Streeler's have a new plan on how to score touchdowns inside the 10 yard line?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:46
Adding Green, Bryant and Smith-Schuster to the mix should help, no?

12:46
Think McCullers will see a second contract with the Steelers, or do you think he has shown improvement?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:46
I doubt it unless he comes back for the league minimum. He hasn't played all that much.
12:47
Tre'Davious White, the CB out of LSU. They liked him too. Just went a few picks before they took Watt.

Who was the player in this years draft that you were hoping the Steelers would have chosen, but didn't and why was that selection your top guy?
Ray Fittipaldo

question to previous answer.

One more request, no more questions about rookies and their potential 10 years from now until we can see them do more than drills or play "football in shorts".

Don't you think a lot of Steelers problems in the red zone come down to Ben and the decisions he making, or not making? He's been the constant and even when they had better receivers, they still had average red zones stats compared to other teams, right?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:48
You're right to a degree. He didn't have a great season in the red zone, for sure. He also lacked weapons, and the Steelers addressed that.

Early thoughts on divisional contenders in AFC? Oakland, NE (of course), Pittsburgh & Houston? Or do you see someone else (KC, Tennessee, Jets -- nah, scratch that last one) sneaking in there?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:49
The Titans could be interesting. Maybe the Colts if Andrew Luck is healthy. That division isn't great. As good as that Texans defense is they're heading to camp with Tom Savage as their QB.

Now that the draft is over, time for the 2nd wave of contract re-ups to commence?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:50
Yeah I expect Tuitt to get done this summer. And they'll try with Bell for a long-term deal.
Brandon
12:50
With L. Bell's receiving ability, do you see the offense utilizing bell in the slot and connor in the back field at all?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:51
They got away from that as the season went on last year. They rode Bell as a RB. Not saying they won't go back to utilizing his WR skills, but the success they had in the second half of the 2016 season came with Bell almostly strictly being used as a RB and not a WR.

If a certain team in a cold region up north is going to go 15-1 and have home-field advantage aren't we kind of spinning our wheels, here. I know, poor attitude.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:51
Just a realistic outlook if you ask me.
JayBird
12:52
Do you think Bell's touches get less because of them drafting Conner?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:52
I would imagine but not by a large amount.

Interesting WR competition this year. Why is DHB so highly regarded ? Special teams , ok. He couldnt step up as a WR when we needed him. I d take Avery and Coates over him. Disagree ?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:53
Yeah that'll be interesting. The coaches seem to love DHB for his willingness to play special teams, but it's not like the special teams are great. Ben loves him too. Don't underestimate that.

Thanks for the great questions this week.
