Social media was all over Big Ben for being seen apparently deep-in-thought at a Penguins game. Can you solve a dispute for me? I say he was on a psychic link with his receivers and they were running through plays together. My wife claims he was thinking of pizza. Which one of us is right?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:40
Always go with pizza.
Nono
12:40
hi Ray, anything new about Al Villanueva's contract?thx
Ray Fittipaldo
12:40
No that I know. I'm sure he'll be asked about this week at OTAs.

My son will be 2 at the beginning of this season. If I want him to get a few seasons of use out of a Steelers jersey, do I invest in Ben's #7, Bell's #26, Harrison's #92, or Bryant's #10?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
Good question: I'd say 7.
Spencer
12:41
Do you think the Steelers will try to sign a safety or ilb anytime this year
Ray Fittipaldo
12:41
Depends on injuries. Better chance with an ILB I think.
Daniel
12:42
Your thoughts on whether Steelers knew Ladarius Green wouldn't be back this season before draft?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
I think they had an inkling, yes.
Daniel
12:42
Do you think TE wasn't addressed in draft b/c of Ju Ju pick and Justin Hunter signing? Does it also mean there's a good chance of Steelers keeping 7 WRs if only 3 TEs are on roster?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:42
More Juju than Hunter, whom I think will have a tough time making the 53-man roster.
Spencer
12:43
Do you think Gary Barnidge would be a good fit at TE
Ray Fittipaldo
12:43
Possibly in the right role. The question is: do the Steelers think he's an upgrade over Grimble...
Colonel John
12:43
Ray what do you think of the nfl thinking about changing the OT rules?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:44
Going from 15 to 10 minutes might make the coaches approach possessions in a different manner. In other words, I don't think there will be much of a feeling out period. Coaches will go for it because they might only get one possession.

Will this be Ben's last year? He seemed really close to calling it and that was after an AFC Championship run. Either we win the Superbowl and he retires on top or he falls short and retires due to his aforementioned reasons. Why do people keep saying 2-3 years more?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
Because he has three years left on his contract and there is a lot of money on that contract.
Adam
12:45
How healthy is Heyward? Is he 100% and ready to go?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:45
Don't know that he is 100 percent right now but he is expected to be 100 percent by training camp and that's all that matters.
Rob
12:45
How much playing time do you see Watt getting to start the year?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:46
I expect he'll be used in some packages where he can rush the passer. You don't want to overtax James Harrison because of his age. Watt should be able to spell him. Will be interesting to see if that happens in base packages or in subpackages.
Adam
12:47
Do you think the Steelers should be favored in 14 of 16 games? I would be happy with a 10-6 showing this year.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:47
They're the second favorite behind New England in the AFC. 10-6 would be a disappointment I would think.
Ryno
12:47
Do you think these "football experts" will ever get that the team officials know more than the "experts", and have good reasons for doing what they do? Im talking about why the Steelers did things like draft a long snapper, or why they would take a receiver so high.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:48
Right. But they have all the knowledge inside that building. If it's not leaking out, it's hard for the so-called experts to be right.
Adam
12:48
Does Dupree take the next step this year and become a pro bowl player?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:49
The defense will be much better if that happens. He has all the physical tools. He needs to put it all together in his third season. Big year for him.
Adam
12:49
How many carries/yards will Connor get this year? Will he be used more than Williams or will they run Bell into the ground again this year?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:50
Good question. Given Bell's injury history I could see that being an option. Then again, they haven't been afraid to ride Bell in the past in all situations. Will be a big topic this summer in camp.
Angelo Christiano
12:50
When is M. Bryant contract up? Does the suspension count against the contract?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:50
2018. The year he sat out does not count.
Daniel
12:50
It looks like TJ will initially share snaps with Harrison and eventually take over that starting spot. Will Steelers cut Harrison after this season to save a couple $million? I hope not. It would be amazing to see him play when he hits 40 yrs old which will be after this season.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:51
He's been productive. If he's productive again this season there would be no reason to cut him.
Trever Smiley
12:52
Do you think they would ever consider moving gay to safety
Ray Fittipaldo
12:52
Yes I could see that happening in some subpackages.

Do you think the Steelers are happy with their DB depth or are they still trying to sign a FA like that S who came in a few weeks ago?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:53
I think they'll wait to see how Golson, Sensabaugh, Sutton and Allen develop. Lots of new faces competing for roster spots. No need to add someone else right now.
12:55
I don't know if he got caught flat-footed. Miller was nearing the end and they knew it. GMs can't go out there and manufacture quality college TEs. The year Miller retired the TE draft class was bad. So they signed Green. That turned out to be unwise, but it doesn't take away form the fact that their choices were limited at the time of Miller's announcement.

Do you see enough d-lineman to support a rotation to keep Tuitt and Heyward fresh
