It's early, but with the moves they've made I can see them winning between 4-6 games.

I think Steelers management " reaches" for defensive players lately,  most obviously Jarvis Jones.   And maybe Bud.  And Burns.  They talk themselves into seeing an upside other teams management doesn't.  Thoughts?

That was an era when they seem to be fixated more on measurables. Those are still important, but I think you saw the start of a new trend last year when they went after players with character and smarts too. Obviously, you have to be able to run a certain speed and jump a certain height, but if you examine their 2018 draft they selected players they had some of the intangible qualities that eventually dictate whether a player is successful or not. I think they're trying to change their approach.

Why would Timmons play an extra season for mere $2M, ( 16 games & post season ) take on more CTE risks when he's already got enough $$$ to retire for life?

Why does any player continue to play? You can ask that question of half the players in the league.
