Depends on who else is available.

Prediction: Bigger year Burns or Sutton? Thanks
Ray Fittipaldo
12:24
Burns assuming he's starter, which I think he will be.

Hi Ray, do you think the Steelers draft OL in this years draft?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:25
Yes at some point I think they will, even if he's just a developmental pick.

Hi, Ray....how much do you think the Vander Esch injury talk and Evans not running the 40 is effecting the Steelers thoughts on them?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:25
I'm hearing the Steelers are not overly concerned with the neck injury.

It's sort of gruesome to ask this, but would Shazier's injury make the Steelers less likely to take the Boise State linebacker (because he might have neck issues)?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:27
No, if the doctor is not concerned they are not concerned. That's why their team doctors travel to Indy for the combine and that's why the prospects are checked again when they come here on visits.
Yes if they really like him. That's what happened with JuJu Smith-Schuster last year.

Could steelers take receiver round 2
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
Question to previous answer.

Ray, do you think the Steelers have any interest in Sony Michel? I think he would be a great replacement for Leveon when he goes.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:28
I think he's a really good player. Just matter of what their grade is on him.

Any chance the Steelers grab Shaqiem Griffin?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
I think some teams will question how they will utilize him on defense. He doesn't have a right hand. It didn't affect him in college. But this is the NFL. He'll have to shed linemen, grab ball carriers and make tackles. It's going to be interesting to see where he goes. I do know a lot of teams value character in players, and this guy seems to have won over a lot of teams with his approach to the game.

Hi Ray, First time poster, long time lurker. After watching these chats for awhile, which draft question makes you "SMH" the most? 1) Drafting a QB, 2) Trading Bell to the Browns for Barkely; 3) Trading Bryant for draft picks; 4) other
Ray Fittipaldo
12:30
Where is E.) All of the above?
Mark
12:30
There could be some excellent corners available like Alexander or Hughes late in the first. Do you think they could go that way?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
Draft cliche of 2018: "You can never have enough defensive backs."
Chris
12:31
Would you be shocked if steelers go wr in round one
Ray Fittipaldo
12:31
A little surprised but not shocked.
Alex
12:31
If this is BellĀ“s last year, should the Steelers give James Conner the starting job or find someone else?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:32
I think they would try to get another RB to challenge Conner for the starting job. It certainly would not be handed to him. I don't know that they view him as Bell's heir apparent.
Mark
12:32
Do you think the Steelers have interest in Jerome Baker or Josey Jewell at ILB in round 3?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:33
Two players likely to go in second or third round. Good players at a position of need for the Steelers so yes. However, Jewell is not a speedy LB. If they're looking to replace Shazier he's not the guy. He could be Vince Williams' replacement though.

Hi Ray.  Art Rooney II does not make comments lightly.  At the end of the season, he called the defense soft against the run. Da'ron Payne?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:34
I had him mocked to the Steelers at No. 28 in one of my mock drafts. I think that'd be a ogod pick if they are confident he can rush the passer, too.

12:35
Is there anyone in this years draft, that if they fell to within 10 picks of the Steelers, you feel they should trade up to go get him?  (Think Troy P.)
Ray Fittipaldo
12:35
Maybe someone like Tremaine Edmunds or Roquan Smith if they fell out of the top 15 for some reason. But other than that, I don't really see a player they would value that much.
12:36
Different types of backs. Guice is more of a downhill guy, a punisher, runs hard. Jones is shiftier. Guice seems to be the guy getting the most buzz as the second-best back in this draft. We shall see.
Chris
12:36
Jones or guice who do you think is the better back
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
Question to previous answer.
Alex
12:37
Do you think the Steelers should take Jaire Alexander if he is still on the board in the first?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:37
DB would certainly be a possibility if the ILBs are gone.
12:38
