Not sure what he would want in terms of money but if you;re asking if he's a better option than Eli Rogers I sat yes as long as he is healthy. The issue with Wheaton was his health not necessarily his production.

It would be cheaper but not by much. I think they are comfortable with Jones as the backup.

in regard to Mitchell's foot, his foot is a long way from his HEAD and MOST of his errors were mental ones.....like stupid penalties, etc.

Samuels a bigger attempt at all the scat backs that failed?  At least he is big enough to block so you don't know the gimmick play is coming if you are on D.

I  see Chuks making the roster. So who goes from current OL?  Is drafting Chuks in 3rd fire intended to light as fire under Hawkins who may be in trouble for a roster spot?

I assume Matt Feiler, but if Hawkins regresses for any reason he's not safe either.

Do you think that Brian Allen will make the team again this year?  If so, would you think he would be designated for Special Teams only or compete for a roster spot?

They liked him enough last season to keep him on the 53-man roster so I assume they'll keep him again if they believe he is developing as a DB. We really don't know how well he can play in the secondary because he hasn't played much.

Hi Ray, do you think Finney is a potential starter for Foster next year?  Or do the Steelers only view him as quality back-up C/G?  Thanks!

The fact they did not take a guard in the draft this year might speak to their thoughts on Finney. Foster is entering the last year of his contract so unless they re-sign Foster or draft a G high next year then it seems like Finney's job in 2019.

Ray what makes Edmunds so special to the point he was drafted ahead of the other safeties were rated better? I.e. Reid,Bates,Harrison

Rated better by whom? Not by Kevin Colbert. He said Edmunds was their highest-rated safety when they picked. These guys you mentioned were rated higher by the so-called draft experts but not by the Steelers.
