Again, this is where the writers have to decide what matters. Does a player have to be truly great for five years? Seven years? 10 years? How many years was Terrell Davis truly great?
Randy Grossman

Did Colbert mismanage the handling of finding a great tight end replacement for Heath Miller?
Ray Fittipaldo

There are many great tight ends around to replace someone like Heath Miller.

Why do players like to have their jersey #s retired?  If I was Lambert, I'd love to see the next great hope  - such as Watt - wear the number and have people talking about how great a # that is in Steelers lore.  So don't retire it, but save those #s for the cream of the crop.

And what if that new player never lives up to expectations. Didn't the Steelers give Cam Jacobs No. 58? That's why.

Harrison for Hall of Very Good!
Is there something that Danny Smith struggles with?  We have a good punter and kicker, but we struggle on coverage typically, how much is scheme vs talent?

Not sure but he's been a coach in the league for a long time which tends to make me think he doesn't have the right talent  for his coverage teams. Talent might not be the right word. Not best the gritty players might  be a way to put it.

Do you guys get an off season?  Peter King is gone for a month...

We're all starting to take some vacation and recharging our batteries for the season.

Does Golson look slower to you?

Hard to say, but let's just say he didn't stand out in the OTAs or minicamp.
Thanks for the questions this week. I am off the last week of June and the first week of July so my next chat will be Monday July 10. Talk to you then.
