Pretty much.

if Bell played the next two seasons under the franchise tag, does that mean he's done in Pittsburgh after those 2 years?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:10
Not necessarily but it'd be trending in that direction.
Chetti
12:10
How do you see the Leveon Bell situation playing out? Long Term Contract? Franchise Tag? Any chance he doesn't report to camp?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:11
Too hard to call at this point. If he doesn't report to camp I know it'd be a story, but I wouldn't blame him at all. He has to worry about his future and I'm not sure putting himself at risk in camp practices or meaningless preseason games is a good move for him.

Assuming an agreement is NOT reached today, why should the Steelers reset the RB market?Pay Bell $12m this year, transition tag him next year and let the market dictate salary. No team will pay RBs much more than the $8m APY, so we shouldn't either if he doesn't take $9m APY this year. Thoughts?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:12
The Vikings already did a few years ago for Adrian Peterson. You are underestimating the desperateness of bad NFL teams when free agency hits.

Why such a disparity between pro football focus' evaluation of Pouncey and his great reputation? What do they miss in evaluating every play?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:13
I don't think they hate Pouncey per se. They just don't think he's All-Pro level. They think he's overrated.

How much of contract negotiations comes down to just stalling? The reason I ask is because there really are not that many things to hash out. Not like they have details like a parking spot, or a company car that they negotiate on. Isn't it basically just how much money is guaranteed, and the duration as well as the amount per year? What else is there really to negotiate on? Doesn't seem to me like there is that much to think about.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:13
Right. It's a high-stakes games of chicken. These deals, if they come, always go down to the wire.

One of the positions where the Steelers need depth is inside linebacker.  Do you think there is a good chance the Steelers will pick up someone at that position who is cut by another team?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:14
Decent chance especially if there is any injury.
Tim B
12:14
The Bell situation gets resolved today one way or another.  Who is next for the Steelers?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:14
They turn their attention to Tuitt and Villanueva.
Derek O.
12:14
Mike Hilton has shown some shiftiness to his game, ability to cover man, and a veteran like calmness so far. Do you think there's a chance he can knock his old running mate, Golson off the 53?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:15
That'd be tough for Golson to swallow, but he certainly doesn't have the team made.

12:15
What do u think it would take to get deal done with Bell. 5 year 50 mill 25 guaranteed
Ray Fittipaldo
12:15
You're in the ball park. Not sure the guaranteed money has to be $25 million but close to it, yes.
Derek O.

PFF has recently tabbed Ross Cockrell our "secret superstar"....He has been a very consistently good CB for us. Why do you think so many Steeler fans underrate him?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:16
Are you sure the Steelers don't underrate him? Or maybe PFF overrates him? The Steelers placed the lowest-possible tender on him in free agency.

Hello Ray. There seems to be a concerted effort to not acknowledge the importance of Josh Dobbs. We've seen this story before. It's not "THAT" farfetched for both Ben and  Landry to go down at some point in the season. I feel like we have a bonafide future starter/superstar in Josh Dobbs. Why is everyone making it seem that he's just not that important right now?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:17
Because he's third on the depth chart behind a franchise QB and an established veteran. I couldn't tell you the names of backups on most teams let alone their third-stringers.

12:17
What have you observed regarding Martavis interaction with teammates since his return?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:18
I didn't see any issues in the spring.
Steel ballin
12:18
Hey Ray, give me one player who you think can take there game to an all pro level. I think it's Sean Davis
Ray Fittipaldo
12:18
Ryan Shazier.
Anthony
12:18
Do you see the pass rush improving this year or will it be same old, same old? Butler has had to come up with ways to create pressure and send 5+ guys to do it. This is a big reason for the secondary's struggles in my opinion.
Ray Fittipaldo
12:19
Correct. That's why they chose T.J. Watt in the first round. They know it's a problem
Derek O.
12:19
Ray, watching the film last year of Vince Williams has shown a fierce competitor. One of his strong points was actually coverage, for example in the first NE game when he was on Gronkowski he did an excellent job of jamming him at the line and disrupting his route while shadowing him. Combine that with the fact that Timmons missed 16 tackles last season, do you think VW actually makes us a better defense?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:20
Not sure I'm buying that. I always thought Williams was really good in the role they had him in. We'll see if he's up to the challenge of being a starter. And I'm not convinced they'll ask him to play every down like they did with Timmons.
Fred
12:20
Will Haley use Rosie more this season?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:21
Really? With all the weapons at his disposal, we're worried about playing a fullback?
Morris
12:21
Chances Watt is full starter by season end?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:22
Starter? Yes. Full-time starter? Not so fast. Harrison still has something to contribute and I can't foresee a scenario where he doesn't play some percentage of the snaps.
Morris
12:22
Are both Moats and Chickillo on the 53?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:22
I think so.
Scott
12:22
After reading the article that discussed the book written by Bruce Arrogance, I have come to the conclusion he is a full blown narcissist. What do you think of some of his claims?
Ray Fittipaldo
12:23
I enjoyed some of his anecdotes. Not sure I love it if I'm Bill Cowher or anyone else that's cast in a bad light, but some of the stories were funny and insightful.
Scotty

What do you make of the Ben, Bryant situation..they should have already talked by now ?
