Is the defense really this bad? There were times last year that looked promising (leading the league in sacks, etc.). In theory we added a few pieces to bolster things. Please tell me we're not missing Mike Mitchell! :-)

Ha ha. No, they're not missing Mike Mitchell. They're missing continuity and players understanding of the defense and players communicating properly and maybe coaches not being on top of how well their players are picking things up.

When can Ola Adyniyi (sp?) come off of IR, and is there a feeling he can provide pressure on the QB from the right side that we seem to be missing at this point?

I thought if Bell didn’t report by week 10, he would not arquire credit for the year. But now I hear he can sit out the entire year and still be a free agent?  Thus, he has no reason to report, other than the money lost?

It's a terrible rule, and it amazes me these awful rules somehow get approved by the competition committee, which has plenty of coaches (including Tomlin) on it. It's their fault too.

What your feeling on Dickerson, Jim Brown etc. wanting  money to attend HOF inductions.  I thought players get a pension after 3 years I believe.

I like they are fighting for retired players, and all former NFL players should receive health insurance for life. It's a brutal game, and they should get the care they deserve. But the $300,000 salary demand, I didn't get that.

As a lifelong Steelers fan (born and bred) I've always had confidence in the front office.  What are you seeing from that perspective?  I'm starting to see fractures in the Rooney way.  Is this naturally what happens to ownership after a few generations?
