Is there a free agent that would be an ideal fit for Rays?? A left handed first baseman or a catcher with some pop in his bat ?
Darragh McDonald
11:23
Well, for the catcher, Gary Sanchez is still out there.
The two main first basemen still unsigned are Gurriel and Sano, both righties.
11:24
Profar hasn't played much first base but he probably could.
11:25
He's a very Rays-y type player but it seems like maybe he was looking for a big payday this winter that never came.

If Kyle Manzardo starts the year (presumably in AAA) as hot as he finished last, is there a chance we see him with the big club this year?
Darragh McDonald
11:26
I think it's possible, sure. He played 30 Double-A games last year and should be in Triple-A at some point, either at the beginning of the season or shortly thereafter.
11:27
He's not on the 40-man, which works against him slightly, but those spots usually open up throughout the year as guys get hurt or underperform.

Any left handed bats the Rays could trade for at the trade deadline?
Darragh McDonald
11:27
Depends on the standings, of course, but sure.
11:29
How about an Austin Meadows reunion? There's also Seth Brown, Tony Kemp, Jace Peterson, Dominic Smith, Jeimer Candelario. Then a few others that could shake loose as the season goes along.

Probably the most frustrating off-season ever as a Rays fan. The GM says we're getting a bat. It never comes. I get the FA signings we're out of their price range. However they have plenty of prospects to pull off a trade. Any thoughts on the lack of movement this offseason. Also do you see them making a big move at the trade deadline. B Reynolds would be nice.

It seems like the trade market was slow overall this winter. I guess that's a side effect of the expanded playoffs. Most teams consider themselves contenders at this part of the calendar.
11:31
And the teams that don't, like the A's and Nats, already did most of their selling.
That should change by midseason and the wheat gets separated from the chaff.

Unfortunately, I have to cut it off here. But thanks so much for the questions and sorry for the ones I couldn't get to.
