What do you think Carrigg needs to do at this point to earn a call-up to Colorado? Sterlin Thompson has options and isn't exactly on fire fifteen games in, but Johnston has been good and McCarthy has turned his average around. Just a waiting game at this point?

A lot to like about Carrigg, which is why there are questions about him each week. So apologies if I repeat anything I've written the past few weeks. But, like I said, people are asking about him for good reason. Switch-hitter with speed, plate discipline, and he can play 2 premium positions (CF, SS). I think the shorter window before Moniak/Doyle/Beck return from the IL works best for a guy already on the 40-man like Sterlin Thompson. Carrigg should require a bigger role when he is added to the 40-man and called up. Unless the IL stints to the aforementioned trio ends up being longer than expected, I think Carrigg will be in AAA until August.

That will do it for today. Reminder that Jon is doing a new column called "FanGraphs Feature Focus" that is very helpful in explaining a lot of the many cool things we have on the site. Check it out if you can ...

There are two players in the majors with the last name Freeland and two players in the majors with the last name Freeman. They play across 2 teams so that every Freeman is paired with a Freeland. I guess what I'm asking is, are the Dodgers and Rockies the most patriotic teams currently?

is this just Ward's role now? I know he claimed to have had that injury but if it's not a conscious decision than either that injury didn't matter as much as he thought or it's actually bothering him still

I know his issues aren't really a rosterresource type of question, but what are the Red Sox going to do with Bello? They clearly want him to start, and obviously that would be ideal, but this is untenable. I would just use an opener for a month until Crochet returns and then option him.

Are you sure the A's will wait to replace Butler with a LHH OF? They already have that role covered with Carlos Cortes, and once Muncy/Wilson are up then Gelof can take the CF starts that Butler is currently covering

For what it's worth, Weissert is bad in IR rate (12 of 21 have scored), but Bello only accounted for 1 of those -- which, to be fair, did score (4/29 against TOR).

If Farhan is considered a wash out in San Fran. And Scott Harris learned from him and adopted similar principles. How do we rate Scott Harris thus far? And do we feel confident in his vision moving forward in Motown?

I had no idea Luke Voit was in NPB! Hadn't noticed he wasn't around. . .
