Commissioner Bronwyn is reflecting on all the exciting ways we've seen people praying in the past 12+ hours – at gatherings, by people on their own, through the prayer resources on the webpage, in the live online meetings, on social media and through this blog.
12:10
'I look up to the mountains – does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth'. Psalm 121:1-2

Commissioner Bronwyn reminds us of this helpful Bible verse as she kicks off our live prayer meeting.

As the tweet says – our second prayer meeting has started. sar.my/wavemeeting2 to join in.

Hello again, it’s Joe here. I work in the IHQ Communications team and am based on London, UK. One of my favourite things about this sort of event is feeling connected to our international organisation. I’d love to know where you’re reading from today. Let everyone know which country you are in!

Lament is where I start, but God fills my head with ‘this is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it’ Comforter God, thank you that you are present in ALL our times and that as we cry out to you, in grief, fear, frustration and even anger, you graciously and tenderly remind me of your consistency, your faithfulness and your goodness. Amen

Wow! So much creativity in prayer is blessing my heart as I read the comments and watch the videos. It was so special to join with brothers and sisters from Pakistan in the first online prayer meeting a while ago ... a beautiful reminder that we are part of a global family. Thank You, Pakistan Salvation Army.
Next opportunity is at 11am UK time ... we'd love to have you join us!

Here's a special prayer meeting – centred on coronavirus – that took place at our Wellington South Corps (church) in New Zealand this morning. Cadet (Salvation Army officer in training) Alana was one of those taking part. #TSAPrayerWave
They prayed to lament, to give thanks, to praise God and to seek his heart – even amid the losses of the pandemic.

The sun is not up yet but I can’t wait any longer. Thank you for those who have prayed through what has been my night time. It is reassuring to know daily that around the world our Army is in prayer. The reassurance that comes is amazing. Thank you Africa, and now Eastern Europe and as the sun will soon rise here in London, thanks to all who are praying, God bless you. As you engage may you know God’s presence.
