Happy Monday, chatters .. just a few weeks left. Accordingly, the queue is a bit slimmer than usual—but that should mean that I can get to them all. Let's not dally ...

Will activate Max Muncy today at Utility.  Who do I drop Brenton Doyle or Jordan Beck?  The intentent would be to platoon one of them with Muncy vs LHP.
Brent Hershey
12:01
Beck's been a bit colder than Doyle and a shorter track record. I'd drop Beck.

12:05
How worried should I be about Kirby going forward? He was awful for several weeks last August, perhaps its the same thing?
Brent Hershey
12:05
Going forward, as in next year? Next to no concerns, especially if he gets through September healthy. It's just been 2 blowups in the past four, so understandable if you're a bit wary down the stretch .. though the 2-step this week is a good setup for him.

12:07
Do you think Nolan McLean will be an Ace for the fantasy playoffs?
Brent Hershey
12:07
Too early to say, as one who defines "Ace" to include a proven track record. So in that strict case, no ... but I can't not be impressed with his outings so far and he could be set up for a strong September. Super curious tonight v PHI, who he wrecked the first time he faced them two weeks ago.
Don Dringus
12:08
Hoffman or Fairbanks going forward for saves?
Brent Hershey
12:08
Hoffman, though the explosions have been more frequent than you'd like this year, to say the least.

Hi Brent,                                                                                       Thanks for all of your help this year.  I would like to start by asking, from a fantasy standpoint, who would you say has been the biggest surprise batter/pitcher on the positive side and negative side in 2025?  I know that is a little open-ended, but I am curious if you have thought about that.                        A couple of quick other questions concerning my 6X6 mixed rotisserie team that has a small lead down the stretch:                                                                                         1) Need to replace Roman Anthony - Barger (do you still like him in spite of this terrible slump), Stewart, J. Jackson or Dominguez?                                                                              2) Is it worth stashing Lawler on my bench as a keeper for 2026, or has all of this waiting diminished his projections for the future.  Any value ROS?                          Thanks
Brent Hershey
12:14
Top of my head Positive surprises: Raleigh's elite power; Schwarber's BA gains; Palencia locking down CHI closer (before yesterday); Cris Sánchez's ascendance to Ace status
Negative surprises: Strider not being the same; Devin Williams falling apart

1) Barger, then Jackson
2) Lawlar is a great stash IMO

Glad I could help throughout the year!

Not exactly a stellar group, but how would you rank these first basemen in a Dynasty League?
Schanuel, Nate Lowe, Vaughn. Also, since Contreras will only be first base eligible next year, he would be #1 in that group, right?
Brent Hershey
12:15
Contreras, Schanuel (foundation there for more power), Vaughn, Lowe.

Brent!  Just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU for doing this all year.  Always good to get a professional to help me tip the scales every Monday.  Much appreciated.
Brent Hershey

You got it, Rockford. Thank YOU!

12:17
12 team mixed ratios heading the wrong way, are there any elite bulk relievers or setup men likely to get enough good innings ROS to help stabilize?  Thanks!
Brent Hershey
12:17
At this point, I think you find/ride the hot hands as best you can. Anything can happen in three weeks. Rougher outing yesterday, but before that I was on the Troy Melton train. Could probably find someone who fits this in the LAD pen, also.

4x4 AL only keeper rod javier or garcia? both houston..rasmussen cantillo ros and cano for balt. worth a shot for sabesw?
Brent Hershey
12:18
-Garcia
-Rasmussen
-Cano not a fave for me; possibly 1 or 2 rest of the way.

12:24
Start either Patrick Corbin or Woods-Richardson if desperate for Wins ?
Brent Hershey
12:24
Def take opponents into account ... as best you estimate.

Corbin looks like NYM, MIA, MIN
SWR ... LAA, NYY, CLE, PHI (though that's last day of season; would well change)

I'd lean Corbin; vet and TEX likely to keep him for those three.

For this week....pick 2...L Garcia, B Baty, K Stowers, C Simpson, Burger, L Butler     pick 2 please JT Ginn, J Cantillo, Ferris      and do you start Palencia or another option? THANK YOU
Brent Hershey
12:26
If this is full-season roto, categories are king of course, so consider those. Otherwise, Baty and Burger, I guess?

Ginn and Cantillo, and no I'm not starting Palencia (writing that one off from what I've heard so far)

Hi Brent. In a 12-team mixed 5X5 H2H league with OBP instead of AVG, please rank ROS: Andrew Vaughn, Josh Bell, Nathaniel Lowe. I’m currently rostering Vaughn, but I’m concerned he might lose playing time once Hoskins comes off the IL.
Brent Hershey
12:27
I'd ride Vaughn ... Hoskins has been on that rehab forever - so right or wrong, don't feel like MIL feels it's urgent.

Kicked off my playoff bye week with likely losing Palencia for the season. Would you grab Keller or Kittredge? Tough one because I have three reasonable closers (Munoz, Walker, B. Abreu) and I’d need to drop either my only bench bat (Keaschall or Varsho) or a starter (Sproat, McLean, Misiorowski, S. Gray). (5X5 OBP / QS).
Brent Hershey
12:29
I prefer Keller, and would probably drop Sproat -- just the shorter track record. Would think dropping your only bench bat wouldn't be worth it -- we don't have any sense of what CHC is doing post-Palencia
Porcho Villa
12:31
Who would you prefer for all around production over the final two weeks (this week doesn’t matter): Varsho, J. Polanco, C. Montgomery, I. Herrera, Wallner (OBP league)
Brent Hershey
12:31
Polanco and Herrera, I think? Tough to not choose C-Mont; could go either way. At some point he'll crash (come off this level) ... but on the other hand maybe it's not until next season.

H2H OBP Sal Cap.  Is Adley R. simply a mid-tier C moving forward for '26? Is he worth $20 to keep?
Brent Hershey
12:32
Yes, I think that's where we're at for now. And no, I wouldn't think he would be worth a $20 keep. Should be able to get him for cheaper -- an if not, let someone else take the risk that he can put the past 1.5 yrs behind him.

H2H cat OBP, Ks, SBN, TB plus normal 5 SalCap - Grisham for $5 or O. Cruz for $10? Which is the better keeper?
Brent Hershey
12:33
Whew ... Grisham, probably. O. Cruz could have easily been one of the negative surprise answers up top. Such a weird career so far.

H2H salary cap dynasty. QS, IP, ERA, WHIP, K/9. I have to make keeper decisions on Z. Matthews, E. Sheehan,  E. Perez, D. Rasmussen, B. Ashcraft, B. Walters, R. Weathers, B. Woodruff, T. Glasnow,R. Ray.  I can only keep 6 (maybe 7). Please rank all for this format.
Brent Hershey
12:38
I hope you don't have to make keeper decisions right now for next year, but ... here's by rank:

Perez / Woodruff / Glasnow for sure. Sheehan / Matthews in next tier. Then kinda depends on where you are in the contender/rebuild cycle. Could see Ray and Rasmussen being valuable if you're contending, but would prefer Weathers, Ashcraft and Walter  (roughly that order) if you're looking strictly long-term.

H2H cats OBP salary cap - Have J. Caminero (35), B. Baty (2), J. Burger (2) at 3B next year. Rank?
Brent Hershey
12:42
In that order, I think. Junior is the real deal, you keep that, and then choose one of the other 3B to offset the salary. I'm going with Baty for a more well-rounded profile.

Also note that Burger has not played a game at 3B this year, if eligibility factors into your decision.

Hi Brent, tough lineup decisions for this week: which 3 would you bench:  busch witt  edwards matos pham butler j sanchez acuna (never thought i would one day include him in a list); Which 4 should I bench: d peterson waldrep i seymour t wells cantillo elder l garcia mize. Thank you for your collaboration
Brent Hershey
12:47
hitters: would likely bench Matos and Edwards for sure. Then ... Busch, perhaps? Think ya gotta ride Acuna. Might also consider Witt IF he's not in the lineup tonight (if that's an option to wait and see)

pitchers: Pederson, Cantillo, Elder, Mize .. though interesting arguments all the way around here. Waldrep the only no-doubt starter for me on first glance. Playing Mize slightly over Elder if the 2-start thing is important.
Your name
12:48
Pick 2 SP as RPs for this week only: Yoendry Gomez (TB, @ CLE) Nolan Crismatt (@SF, @MIN), Janson Junk (WSN, DET)?
