If you were lucky, then you would have a Shelter in your back garden named an Anderson Shelter. If you were in London, then you would  take shelter in the underground. However, if you weren't located in London, then it wasn't the end of the world. You would possibly be provided with a shelter named a Morrison Shelter that would fit in your home and fit all your family in it. The only downside to this shelter was that all you family had to sleep in it, sometimes becoming a bit overpopulated.
