AAP gains some foothold in Gujarat: By now, it is evident that the AAP's campaign has helped the party gain some foothold in Gujarat, bucking the state's traditional bipolar polity.
The AAP leads in nine seats with a 12.8 percent vote share, trailing behind the Congress (26.6 percent) and the BJP (53.6 percent), which looks set to register a huge victory. The AAP, however, is in many ways consequential as it seems to be dragging the Congress' vote share below 30 percent for the first time in decades.
