Cassius marsh is a weak link here

You cannot put this pathetic performance all on the coach. These are professionals

Brian, we're watching the game.  Don't need your call on the plays.
Brian Batko
10:11
Some people are, some aren't.
10:12
As for Marsh, Ola Adeniyi in there now. At least flushed Mayfield out of the pocket on that one.

And left the whole side open for him to run...

No sacks tonight.
Brian Batko
10:14
That would be a streak of two consecutive playoff games without a sack, offsetting the streak of 74 in a row in the regular season. Hmmm...

only three days until Penguins season starts

This is just too bad how things started because I just don’t believe Baker is a very good QB.  If we made them play from behind would have been a different game but....
Carlos

Backups had four sacks last week, so what gives?
Brian Batko
10:15
Good plan by the Browns, plus they can lean on the run thanks to the early lead. That opening play from scrimmage was BAD, real bad, and the pick compounded things.
10:16
By the way, I've been researching whether the Steelers have ever given up a defensive touchdown on the first play from scrimmage. Back to 1987, can't find one, and the internet evidence is starting to run dry.

It's embarrassing when your team doesn't show up for a playoff game. You may not see the playoffs again for a long while

good plan by a team with no head coach at game? Steelers need to hang their heads low
Brian Batko
10:17
Gotta hand it to Stefanski, knew he wouldn't be out there to help his guys and he seems to have done a damn good job preparing them, even with minimal practice time. Really, you add it all up, and any way you slice it, this is confounding.

Brian, I can tell you I have been following the NFL for 40 years and I have never seen that ( defensive touchdown off a high snap to start the game)  maybe someone older than me 50+ can add to that

Have they announced what happened to highsmith
Brian Batko
10:19
Not that I've seen/heard. But can I interest you in a promising Steelers drive?
10:20
I'm already seeing betting lines for Chiefs-Browns. And it's KC minus-8.
Carlos

Tick tock tick tock.  Long slow drives not gonna cut it.
Shane

The Steelers' defense will need a turnover to turn this around.
Brian Batko
10:20
Touchdown, Eric Ebron. Nice little pitch and catch to cut into that lead.
10:21
Also, couple injury updates now:

  • Alex Highsmith doubtful to return with an ankle injury.
  • Mike Hilton questionable to return with an ankle injury.
The 2-point conversion is no good. Browns 35, Steelers 16. Was still gonna be a three-score game either way, obviously.

Nice catch Ebron. Can you say onside?

Finally Ebron has a nice drive

Need a turnover and we could have a chance

Any idea what our 2 pt conversion rate is this season???
Adam
10:22
I hate going for 2 there.  Take the freaking point!
Brian Batko
10:23
40 percent on 2-point attempts in the regular season, most notable the one last week against the Browns that could've tied it.

I don’t mind going for 2. But have a better play
