I get that but then they sacrifice trying to score a td. Not exactly like can easily get down into the red zone. I almost would argue that with the time they should have gone for it. They need tds

You need time and possessions. They were on the 30. Even if they get the first it will be another two or three minutes before they score and there is no guaranteee. You need THREE scores. Take the one sure one and worry about going for it when you get the ball back

Now, back to my point - you got the stop. Had you kicked the field goal on fourth-and-2 from the 30 with 12:23 to play as opposed to fourth-and-7 from the 10 with 9:10 to play you would be getting the ball back, down two scores with 10:05 to play as opposed to 7:05
