They hired McCarthy in order to keep the over the hill Rodgers. Needed a young coach like Kubiak but Art liked the local guy

Before this stint, Graham was the DC for two teams the past six seasons.  Those teams records were a combined 31 and 70, no playoffs. Cannot use the talent provided.  History and leadership matter.
