And it doesn't matter. Steelers take one more shot to the sideline, bad idea and bad throw, so they'll kick.

Throws it out of bounds

Where's Duck Hodges!
Brian Batko

Practice squad.
Paul

I knew that Brian... I was speaking metaphorically.

We need a backup QB Hannratty was at least ready to go in - this was horrible
Destiny

Right where he belongs on the practice squad

Dobbs
Brian Batko
5:47
Dobbs inactive...unless that question was also metaphorical.

Mason looks like a deer in the headlights
Brian Batko

Boswell gonna get a try now from 59 after missing from 54. Good luck, Chris.
5:50
And this one is good! Chris Boswell makes it 13-9 at half, but still hard to believe Cowboys are winning this game.
Wes
5:51
It's GOOD!  (How about that.)

Ummm not like Ben is playing lights out fellas
Brian Batko
5:52
Well, I'm flipping over to red zone for a bit during half. Ben Roethlisberger is the big thing to watch in the second half.
Tim
5:52
Game hinges on status of big ben as does our season for that matter
Brian Batko
5:56
Update from Steelers: Ben was taken to the locker room with a knee injury and is expected to return for second half.

pull Roth out, more important to keep him healthy for the remainder of the season.

Have never been a Rudolph hater, but if that is as hard as he can throw a football we need a different backup.
WeatherMan

Ben had a poor first half against the Ravens. If he can play in the second half, hope he can turn it on like that again. Doubt Rudolph can pull this off.

I cant believe we're only down 13-9

Brian, thanks for responding to my practice reporting questions. Very cool of you.

I was a big supporter of Rudolph last season, but after reflecting during the off-season two things have become clear: Rudolph isn't good enough to even be an average NFL QB, and the front office made a big mistake in not looking elsewhere for a number two. And they may not even recognize yet that Rudolph has no future. Dang!

May not be worth bringing him back for the 2nd half. An NFC loss wouldn't be terrible if they can't come back. Ben's health is paramount.

OK, Cowboys start with the ball. But Ben will be back when the Steelers are up. Good news for all of you rabid chatters.

I would feel way more comfortable with Dobbs..why dont Tomlin feel same way?anyone else feel that?i know he hasnt played in while but he knows the offense
Tim

Cowboys pulled out all stops and Steelers miserable.  Only down 4

Losing to the Cowboys today would be like suffering two losses. I think the damage to the team psyche would cause them to lose the great edge and mojo they have had this season. If it's only a question of being in pain, Ben should play in the 2nd half, at least until they get a go-ahead score.

I don't think a loss here would be all that detrimental to the Steelers' psyche. If anything, they might need a wake-up call.
