Halftime Grades:  Offense: C (nothing really special.  Poor offensive line).   Defense: A (they only gave up 7 after the offense turned it over deep in their area): Special Teams: D (poor coverage and poor field goal attempt).  Notes: Falcons have had many penalties.  The Steelers are a 77% chance of winning the game at halftime.

This game is especially ugly. Many of the other games, the play isn't THIS bad. The Bears and Panthers are in an absolute shoot out, so I don't think this is all Week 1 football. The Falcons are bad and playing with a backup QB, and the Steelers have looked alot like the last few years, which means they are pretty meh.

As always, some @PittsburghPG notes:

👍Defense gets the nod for the half. Leading the way is Jaquan Brisker with an interception and a big hit that forced a 3rd down that led to a big stop. Cam Heyward also has 2 PBUs.
👍Shoutout the Steelers' LBs, especially Payton Wilson and Patrick Queen. Wilson leads the team with 8 tackles and 2 TFLs. They're keeping the run game in check for the most part. Can't overlook the sacks by Alex Highsmith or TJ Watt either.
👍Pat Freiermuth is my star of the offense so far. 4 receptions on 4 targets for 36 yards and a TD. Also broke some tackles on a nice play that kept a drive alive.

👎Jaylen Warren's fumble was a big mistake and the main reason this game feels so tight. Set up the Falcons' only TD.
👎Penalties are a major issue. DK Metcalf has two OPIs, Dylan Cook has a facemask, and you have the snap miscue on what would've been a Chris Boswell field goal attempt. Lots to clean up.
👎Aaron Rodgers still has the zip on the throws, but he needs people to step up around him. Metcalf and Wilson had passes hit them in the hands in the end zone and neither came up with it. Also, the OL has been less than good. Pressure galore, and no run game. 10 carries for 21 yards against a BAD run defense.
