The numbers for this 31st ranked defense don’t lie. They can’t stop anyone consistently but create enough turnovers to make them seem good. This defense is nothing like the ones we saw with Cowher and early Tomlin years. Problem is that Coach Dumblin’s Tampa 2 defensive schemes have influenced this defense for most of his coaching career and he is not as good of a coach as people think so you have generally inconsistent and average defenses at best. They have not had a true dominating defense in soooo long.
