I hear you on season ticket holders monetizing some games, but the fact that there aren’t other Steeler fans buying up those opportunities shows a decline in support in my view.
Ray Fittipaldo
6:51
Maybe, or they just weren't willing to match what Packers fans were offering.
Brian Batko
6:53
Inactives: Scott Miller, Andrus Peat, Logan Lee, DeMarvin Leal. Zach Frazier is IN.

Prior comment was spot-on: I see in three generations (mine, one older, one younger) losing the fire for the Steelers b/c you can only be disrespected by an organization for so long. When Steelers reward obvious staleness and mediocrity in the coaching staff, fans grow disillusioned and realize the AR et al. simply do not care they are squandering the legacy they were entrusted with. Steelers are about two seasons from becoming a punchline. Sorry, but enough is enough.

Behind Metcalf, who do think will have the most attempts thrown his way?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:55
Hard to say because it's been different every game. I'll go with Austin because the Packers can be thrown on.
Brian Batko
6:56
For the Pack, first-round pick Matthew Golden, fellow WR Christian Watson, DT Devonte Wyatt and kicker Brandon McManus all were questionable but all are active tonight.
6:58
McManus playing is somewhat interesting. Lucas Havrisik had been kicking it really well, perfect on the season including a 61-yarder last week, and McManus is coming off a quad injury.

Doesn't the fact that the Steelers are not favored in this game speak volumes?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:59
I think it speaks volumes about what Vegas thinks of the Steelers defense more than anything.
Steel Russel
7:07
Do you think this will be a power run game for the Steelers?
Brian Batko
7:08
Absolutely not. Packers are good against the run. If the Steelers over-commit to that, I can envision a game script with 3-and-outs, punts and then being forced to play from behind against Micah Parsons...
Ray Fittipaldo
7:09
Chris Boswell just tried a 58-yarder from the logo at midfield, and he came up about five yards short and was wide right. He usually nails those pregame. The field is not in great shape between the numbers so this is certainly something to keep an eye on tonight. It could be that he slipped on the paint too. The Steelers logo is painted over the Pitt logo. Pitt played here last night.

There has to be something wrong with the sod they are using this year if it can’t get through one game.  Did it rain for Pitt-NC State?
Brian Batko
7:12
Didn't see much of the Pitt game but I don't think so. Chris Boswell is kicking now in warmups and doesn't appear to be too pleased with the conditions again. He and Corliss Waitman fixing a lot of patches with their cleats as they go through their routine.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:16
To be fair, the Packers kicker is having a tough time from the logo too. And Boswell was better kicking from the logo to the scoreboard side than the closed side.

7:17
What do you see as the keys to a Steelers’ victory tonight?

7:18
The sod is like the defense.  They have to replace it several times a year so it is expensive, but still not any good.
Todd Gak
7:22
Listening to Tony Romo is physically painful
Ray Fittipaldo
7:22
What kind of name is Gak anyway? Is that Dutch?
KJ
7:22
Thank you Brian & Ray for the exceptional coverage of our Steelers! Can we expect a dramatic improvement of the Steelers’ defense tonight after having the fortune of extra time to prepare for the Packers?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:23
Well, the Packers have a top-10 scoring offense so it's not going to be easy. But this is traditionally a spot where Tomlin and his team responds. I wouldn't be surprised if they defense played well tonight.
KJ
7:24
With this being “National Tight Ends Day”, do you foresee the Steelers continuing to employ 80, 81, 83, and 88 quite a bit tonight?
Ray Fittipaldo
7:24
If you listened to the Rodgers interview this week he believes they've found their identity. I think the TEs are a big part of that so yes expect to see more of that quartet.
Brian Batko
7:25
I hope someone out there did a Pat Freiermuth-Jonnu Smith-Darnell Washington anytime TD parlay.

7:26
just saw those throwback uniforms in action for the first time on NBC... yikes.
Brian Batko
7:27
Yeah...the numbers being white on front and black on back is something that hadn't hit me until right now seeing a bunch of players on the field in-person. That's certainly a choice.

7:32
Echols play more than Slay?  I think its clear Slay is on the downturn
Brian Batko
7:33
Wouldn't surprise me if Darius Slay is on somewhat of a short leash after the Bengals outing. This Packers receiving corps isn't nearly as potent as the Cincy group, but Andrei Iosivas probably isn't as potent as Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs or Christian Watson. So we'll see on that.
7:35
Not only is Zach Frazier active, but he is indeed snapping to Aaron Rodgers now that the team is taking the field in uniform.
Ryan
7:35
Brain what is your score prediction for tonight i think we we win and Washington and Freiermuth score
George C. from Scott
7:38
The Packers’ throwback uniforms aren’t a classic, but at least they’re not obnoxious.
Brian Batko
7:39
The ones they have on tonight or those plain navy getups they've worn in the past? Because these ones tonight aren't throwbacks, just all-white alternates for color rush games and things of that nature. But tonight is the opposite of a color rush. It was a color-the-heck-down please, Packers, and rightfully so.

Field does not look good
Ray Fittipaldo
7:45
Especially inside the numbers, which is where most of the game is played. I wouldn't say it's great.
Brian Batko
7:51
Steelers first-teamers on the field for warmups and in their 3-4 defense, which they always rep for these walk-through snaps, has Cole Holcomb at ILB instead of Payton Wilson, Chuck Clark at safety instead of Juan Thornill and Joey Porter Jr./Jalen Ramsey as the corners.
Sunner in Orlando from Lebo
7:54
Can the Steeler D get off the field? Short quick passes, have always killed the Steelers.
Ray Fittipaldo
7:55
Teams are converting at a 42% clip against them this season. That's one of the worst percentages in the league. I know the frustrating ones for the players are the third-and-10s and the third-and-14s. They gave up those against the Bengals. That's where they should be getting sacks and turnovers, but other teams have had success in those third-and-longs too.
