If they did they wouldn't  still have Mike Tomlin as their head coach seven seasons in a row with no playoff wins. They wouldn't justify it. They wouldn't try to convince us they are close. They have changed coordinators multiple times. They have changed general managers. They have changed quarterbacks multiple times. They have rebuilt the defense. The only constant has been Tomlin. But he is the teflon Don when it comes to actually getting the blame for the team being mired in mediocrity for seven years. So, no, they don't prioritize winning in the playoffs

The difference between the Rooneys and Nutting - the Rooneys get a pass because they have produced six Super Bowls. And the Rooneys HAVE to spend money because there is a salary cap in the NFL (that includes a salary floor)

You're right about that, Zeise.  If you want change, you have to hit the Rooneys in the wallet.  They have no other income.  I haven't spent $$ on the Steelers in many years and won't until they dump Coach Cowardice.
