Strange given all the heightened concussion awareness earlier this season with Tua that Kenny Pickett was evaluated, cleared, then pulled again. But if there was no observation of ataxia on the initial hit by Roquan Smith, it's not a "no-go" situation. So, we'll see.

Nobody should cheer an injury. The thing I will say is the doctors may have some explaining to do as to why Pickett was back in the game. He took that big hit. He went into the tent and was evaluated for a concussion. Then he came back out and played one series. Then he was put in the concussion protocol. Now I understand maybe he didn't have some symptoms that flared up when he went back out there but this isn't a great look for a league that is trying to tell us all how much they care about head injuries.

Why do people think that you immediately have symptoms from a concussion as opposed to a little later? People get concussions, go back to work and end up in the hospital that night.
