Yes, Payton Wilson had a great interception on Lamar Jackson earlier this season. But it wasn't a bad throw is my point.

I don't think I want to bet the mortgage money that the Steelers are going to shut down Lamar today. Beside the fact that he is overdue for a big game vs. Pittsburgh, he is playing at home in an almost must-win game. Hope I'm wrong.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:36
He's overdue.

Kendrick Green trying to hold his own on the Texans O-line against the Chiefs right now. Not going well.
3:39
Few programming notes:

  • Kickoff is at 4:32 pm
  • Tom Brady on the call again for FOX
  • You'll notice the Steelers wearing festive candy cane patches on their right breast plate to promote the Christmas games next week (yippee!!)

Sorry you guys have to work on Christmas. I like the NFL as much as anyone, but putting these four teams through two short weeks this late in the season seems almost criminal. I can't believe the NFLPA puts up with this stuff.
Brian Batko

Seeing the candy cane patches will make it all worth it for me, Seven.

I don't think I've seen a projection about where the Steelers end up if they lose these next two but beat Cincy. Is that maybe the No. 6 seed or would that be good enough for 5?
Brian Batko
3:48
They'd still have the tiebreaker head to head over both Broncos and Chargers so I don't think they can drop lower than the 5 seed in your scenario.

IF we end up winning the division ... do you think it's more likely that happens by (A) beating Baltimore today and then anything after that, or (B) losing today but then winning our next two games?
Brian Batko
3:51
That's a good question and I'm probably 50-50 on it, Greg.

3:51
Green will save it for Pittsburgh in the playoffs. I've seen some fans feel good about Pittsburgh going to Houston is necessary, but the Texans aren't bad and waxed the Steelers last year. It looks like they are down their top 2 receivers though.
Ray Fittipaldo
3:51
Yeah Tank Dell went down today.
Bunson McCormick
3:53
Collins is Texans #1 wr, but yes now down 2 of top 3
Brian Batko
3:53
As expected, James Pierre is lining up with the first-team defense at cornerback opposite Joey Porter Jr. with Donte Jackson out.

Crab cakes all around in the press box?
Brian Batko
3:55
Not yet at least. Maybe halftime.

Hey guys. Thanks for the chats. Used to seem back in earlier part of the 2000s that these teams hated each other.  Is that still the case or is it now just a respected rivalry game that is fiercely played by both teams?
Brian Batko
3:56
I'd lean more toward the latter. Seems like there's actually become more personal animosity between the Steelers and the Browns/Bengals for some reason lately.

3:57
I guess if you have to lose both Elliott and Jackson in the secondary, this Baltimore receiving corps is what you want to go against after their injuries. I guess they will be TE heavy in the passing game today?
Ray Fittipaldo
3:58
I guess, but Rashod Bateman is active. Agholor is inactive.

Remember Anthony Miller? Former Bears second-rounder who had a cup of coffee with the Steelers but could never get off the practice squad and dealt with training camp injuries. Well he's active for the Ravens today off their practice squad because of injuries. Just came over to midfield to say hi to Mike Tomlin.

How many ex-Steelers receivers do they have? I guess they have AB on speed dial.

What are field conditions like.  Will weather be a factor in this game?
Ray Fittipaldo
4:06
The field is fine. The wind is going to be a factor if it keeps swirling as it has been for the past couple of hours.

Will Dino Tomlins strength and conditioning staff be 1 and done? I've never seen so many soft tissue injuries. Matt Canada was bad enough,  no more Dino hires.
Brian Batko
4:12
They generally hire their assistant coaches to two-year contracts. It does seem to be an uncanny rash of soft tissue injuries this year, but look at Detroit and how many players the Lions have lost. It's part of the game. I don't know what went into hiring the staff from Boston College, but I'm not ready to say they should clean house.

Henry carries o/u 20?
Yates
4:13
How many runs for both 22’s. I got 25 for Henry and 14 for Najee.
Brian Batko
4:14
I'll say less than that for Derrick Henry, more than that for Najee Harris. But good guesses.
Yates

Which of the Steelers inactives today will play against the Chiefs?
