Win tonight, win in Foxboro, a win back home, and 7th heaven in San Fran. Go Steelers

What do you think are the two most important keys to the Steelers winning this game?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:02
Pass pro, giving Rodgers time to make some plays down the field and keeping a lid on the top of the defense. They can't be giving up long touchdowns like they did last week.

68 years of Steeler fan and tonight I’m as excited as I was on January 12, 1975 go Steelers
Which team has the edge in kicking? Seems to beat the Steelers need to score at least 18 points off of Boswell’s toe.
Ray Fittipaldo
6:04
Fairbairn is a very good kicker. Boswell is too, but he's been in a little bit of a slump. But this game is on Boswell's turf. He knows the field and how the ball flies here. That has to be worth something.

In the Ravens game, Cam Heyward missed the block that allowed Boswell's tipped extra point. Is he normally in there for extra points? Seems strange for a 15-year defensive player to be used in those plays.
Ray Fittipaldo
6:04
Yes he's been part of that special teams unit for as long as I can remember.

Crazy draft question ahead of tonight's game: What would it take for the Steelers to entice the Raiders to trade us Pick 1 in April? Seems like Mendoza is the only college QB who is great and NFL ready.  Three No.1s and some players?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:07
There is no precedence for moving up that much so I'd just be speculating. Why would the Raiders agree to three No. 1s when the Steelers always make the playoffs and pick in the 20s? So yes I would assume they would want a player or two as well. Anyways, it's too hard to move up that high in the draft when you're in the 20s.

Which player, or players on the Steeler defense need to bring their A game for a W against the Texans?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:07
Watt, Highsmith, Heyward, all the big boys up front. And the secondary can't be noticed for bad reasons. They need to keep everything in front of them.

Does Houston's deep passing scare you? Do you know if JPJ is sticking to him?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:08
Nico Collins is a very good receiver so yes they have potential to get some big plays. But they've also been a very inconsistent unit for most of the season.

Rooting hard for the Steelers tonight, we cant let this be the last broadcast for the chat!
Ray Fittipaldo
6:10
We'd be back at Foxboro if they win. Gerry and I found a great place to eat in Quincy back in September. I know where we'd go Saturday night.
IL Steel
6:10
Doesn't seem like Houston is particularly strong in running the ball, so does that open more opportunities for Herbig to be on the field with TJ and Alex in pass rush? We've seen some of that at times.
Ray Fittipaldo
6:11
They always want to shut the run down first so they'll likely open in base, but yes they have gone to 3-OLB packages at times this season.
IL Steel
6:12
Is this the game the Steelers finally target Muuth 10 times over the middle? Is this the game we finally find out why they have Rogers in for the Tush Push?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:13
Arthur Smith has been really creative out of that formation, but I don't know how Rodgers gets involved. Everyone is condensed so it might be hard to spring someone out for a pass.

Who gets the most snaps at SS?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:30
I still think it's Duggar, but they have to be tight back there. Any mistakes and you could see Chuck Clark.

6:31
Any chance they open the window on Elliott?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:36
Could happen if they win. No harm in opening the window now. They'd have 21 days to evaluate and make a decision on him.
Joseph

over 10 snaps for roman wilson?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:45
I say under.
Stairway to seventh seed

Ray: hoping we have more of these chats in the next few weeks and then again next season on some outlet somewhere.  Just like Rodgers' career, we have to keep it going!
Joseph

Is the spartan tush push decommissioned for the year with Washington out?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:48
No they still run it.
6:53
Steelers inactives for tonight: Roman Wilson, Kaleb Johnson, Tre Flowers, Jeremiah Moon, Jack Driscoll, Logan Lee and Will Howard (3rd QB).

73-0 in the 1st quarter of the last six playoff games.  An average of over 12-0.  Conversely, the Steelers have not scored more than 10 in the 1st qtr in 69 games, over 90 games if you take out a Minkah pick 6.  This has to be due to coaching that comes in just doing what they do and expecting to adjust in time to come back vs having an opponent specific plan.  Against playoff teams that just doesn't work.  Am I off on this?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:56
Turnovers were huge in a few of those games. Tomlin had nothing to do with Pouncey snapping the ball over Ben's head or with all the INTs in the Jax game.
CoachT Fatigue
6:59
Does CoachT come back in 2026 if Steelers lose tonight?
Ray Fittipaldo
6:59
If he wants to come back.

Roman is inactive so under is a safe bet

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. Front and center for Steelers-Texans, first Acrisure Stadium playoff game since it was Heinz Field! And first one with fans in this building by any name since 2018.
Ray Fittipaldo

Ha yes. When I answered that I looked at the clock nd knew the inactives would be out in five minutes.

What do you need to see from Dylan Cook tonight to give you more evidence he could be the left tackle of the future?
