Hi @Taief, thank you for your question. Congratulations on your place. I have a couple of friends on this course. Although the course does have a lot of economics and maths content, in your first year you will be provided with extra support to help you. This will get you up to the expected level. Also, remember there will be lots of people in the same situation who haven't studied either subject, so don't feel afraid as you won't be alone.

Hi @HZ, we are currently unsure on whether the library will be open at the start of the academic year. There may be some study spaces available around campus or a limited seating approach in the library. I would suggest attending the Virtual Open Day and they may be able to answer your question. Hi @Khanh P, We have lots of online resources available which give you advice on studying at university: http://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/130580/supporting_students/810/online_presentations_and_resources The best way to prep for university over the summer before starting, I would personally say is reading a little bit around your subject.

Hi! How would you recommend studying at University ie: methods and top tips/ dos and don'ts?
Urooj F
3:10
Hi, is it possible that the university will accept students with lower grades than required? If not, could they potentially defer the offer on the basis that the student gets the grades in the autumn sitting?
Azzurra Moores
3:10
Hi @Guest - I think if you are interested in studying a subject in further depth and at a higher level then university could be for you! My top tips would be: Do - attend as many lectures as possible, and ask your tutors for help when you don’t understand something. They have office hours so you can talk to them one-on-one. Try to involve yourself in student life as much as you can.
Don’t - I would say don’t study something you aren’t interested in, as you will spend the next few years focusing primarily on that subject.
Matt
3:09
Hi @anon - unfortunately we can't give you a concrete answer whether the department will accept you if you achieve lower than expected. I would recommend speaking to the A2L department about this and seeing if they have an specific advice for you too

Hi Haris A, I am not sure of the exact date but you are more than welcome to contact our Access to Leeds team on accesstoleeds@leeds.ac.uk to ask them about specific deadlines for your module. You can also visit the A2L website: https://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/130588/access_to_leeds for more info

Hi, thank you. I wanted to know when will the MCQ questions be released for the A2L Module 2?
Matt
3:07
Hi @Jack B How we deliver our courses will depend on government guidance on social distancing at the time, but our approach will be flexible, offering a mix of face-to-face and online learning. Currently, teaching activities with large numbers of students will go ahead using digital technology. Teaching in small-group settings, including seminars, tutorials and practicals, will be delivered face to face on campus wherever it can be done safely, in line with the government advice.

Please visit our Coronovirus - Information for Applicants and Offer Holders pages which are frequently updated with the latest developments:  https://www.leeds.ac.uk/info/123000/international_students/802/coronav...
