That Calvin & Hobbes was at the Billy Ireland. I saw it and others there during the tour we took in 2022 with Bill Cox.

It’s late for old people in Houston. Have a great weekend, everyone. Thanks, again, for the great time last weekend, Felix!  Please keep doing what you’re doing.

Saw some comments about the Dave Stevens show at the Comic Art Museum... does anyone know if its any different from the Stevens show they had at SDCC Museum a couple years back?
David Blumer

@andy thrilled for you!  What an incredible issue

Talking about Stevens. Big numbers today!
Derek
7:42
How did the Peking Opera Blues screening turn out?
Felix Lu
7:43
@Derek...both screenings were great!! The second one had a lighter turnout than the first, but that group was even louder. So both really fun. Everyone floated out of the theater. I'm gonna do it again!!

Sup Joe!

What's Daniel Warren Johnson's commission pricing like?
Felix Lu
7:44
@Tilted...no commissions, just sketches. A 4X6 sketch will be $150 at SDCC. Don't think he's going to be doing any 6X9s.
Beyond that, no plans for a proper commission list anytime soon. Just too busy. Sorry!!

Only saw the Stevens material that was still on display last week at the Comic Art Museum. They had a really interesting Filipino artist display as well.
Michael Patrick Sullivan

Does Daniel take sketch commissions? I currently can't attend any conventions out of my state due to a fear of flying and it's quite expensive lol
Felix Lu
7:46
@Guest...again, please log in with your name...but sorry, no mail order sketches/commissions planned. If anything changes, though, we'll let you all know via the newsletter! As usual!
Timothy Guerrero
7:46
Felix, are you attending OAX again next year? If so who is coming with you? hope DWJ attends
Derek
7:46
@Felix Bay Area, next to Marcus :P
Felix Lu
7:46
@Derek...did you ever go to the UC Theatre in Berkeley?
@Tim...Yes, I believe so. Don't know which artists will be coming yet though!
ComicArtChannel
7:46
@felix sdfc before during or after sdcc
Felix Lu
7:47
@CAC...unless something weird happens, before!
Timothy Guerrero
7:47
or Sanford too! I need a Doom or a Galactus from him
Philip B

Interestingly, the Cokic Art Museum docent or person I spoke to was unaware of Trese, despite the Filipino comic art presence there. I showed her a page of art by Kajo Baldisimo from it and she was impressed and asked to take a picture of the information about Kajo on my phone.

How long will the Skybound and Image comics Energon Universe run for and how long would Daniel like to do covers for the Transformers series in that universe?
Felix Lu
7:48
@TF...don't know. But I think DWJ will be doing covers for at least another year...I could be wrong, but that's what I remember
