I've been thinking back about the last five years and realized that Mike Rizzo has never done more than adding a bullpen piece (some good, some bad) during the season. I can't imagine that this is the owner's fault. It's not like the Lerners would have stopped a trade of a couple fringe minor leaguers for Nathan Eovaldi. He's a great off-season GM. During the year, he quits.

Tommy Pham is coming off a 6-win season. Do the Cardinals know this? Do the Indians? Seems like the Indians paid a similar price for a half season of Leonys Martin as the Rays did for 3.5 seasons of Pham.
