The Rockies should trade Trevor Story this winter, but he's expensive enough now with all the revenue losses that I bet the return they'll get is a pittance compared to what it would've been had they marketed him last year. Ditto Jon Gray:

Eddie Rosario is gone? Who signs him?

Feels like a trade or non-tender, yeah. He'd be a good fit with the Nats or Astros. They need some LF help. Both could use a LH bat. I guess he could work in Toronto, too, but that'd require putting him or Teoscar in CF. Doubt the Jays would be too keen on that when Atkins is pitching improved defense as a priority.

White Sox would work (sorry Twins fans!). Cardinals, too, depending on their other moves. Doubt St. Louis spends a lot. Red Sox if they put Benintendi in CF.

Rockies owner Dick Monfort sent a letter to season ticket holders today that said, in part: "There will be nothing normal about this offseason as the industry faces a new economic reality."

Mariners have said they're going with a 6-man rotation for 2021.  Do you see that as being a permanent thing with them, or just to get back to usual workloads?

I think it's a thing they're interested in now but that doesn't mean it'll be a permanent arrangement. Philosophies like that are determined based on the talent they have right now... if they determine it's a better solution for overall health of pitching staff moving forward, maybe they stick with it a bit, but you can't lock yourself into one way of thinking. Otherwise you end up like the Pirates, making Gerrit Cole, Tyler Glasnow and Chris Archer throw two-seamers even though it doesn't work for them because "That's how we pitch in Pittsburgh."
The Mariners strike me as more open-minded than that.

Ok. I know I still haven't gotten to everyone's questions -- I never do, even in these smaller subscriber chats there are just too many -- but I've tried to cover a pretty broad range of topics to the best of my ability, ha.

I've got to wrap it up for the week. Thank you so much for chatting and for supporting MLBTR. It means the world to us. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @Adams_Steve and ask more questions!

I'll do another free chat on the site early next week, and Connor is up for next Thursday's front office chat, I believe.
You guys rock. Take care, enjoy the early offseason chaos, and have a fun weekend.
