powered byJotCast
Drew Watzke
Kristi - most likely yes.
12:23
Angie - there are 549 spots in zone 1, and we will not oversell so if you get a permit, you should always have somewhere to park.
Jenny - no, you will be able to park in any green lot.
12:22
Donna - Harmon Garage is closest to Yocum. And yes, everyone on campus will get a chance to purchase resident reserved.
12:21
Donna - yes, the Stadium garage should be available to Walton residents. Remember, we will only offer students the zones and garages closest to where they will be living. It will say which zone when you log in to your parking portal on the day.
12:18
Donna - We are sorry we didn't fully answer your question. Yes, she will be able to try to purchase a Garland permit on that date.
12:17
Sam - We would recommend contacting housing about that.
12:10
Steve - we are sorry about this. you can send any concerns to parking@uark.edu and we will help out the best we can.
12:08
Deb - yes. but you might have a better chance with our new system than sitting on a waitlist!
Stadium Garage has to vacate for football games but not basketball.
12:06
There is parallel parking in front of the bookstore.
KK - we do not have that information yet.
12:05
I will hang on here for app. 15 more minutes to answer any questions I have not gotten through. I would again encourage you to read through all responses and hopefully I've answered your question. Thank you!
12:00
If you have not received an email in your uark account from us, please contact us at 479-575-7275 or parking@uark.edu.
11:59
Lori - yes, she would be able to park there with a RR, garage or green pass, but that lot is often full and only the middle section is available, the perimeter of the lot is for staff.
11:55
For students living at the Locale, we would suggest contacting housing about alternative parking options.
11:54
The cost of all permits will be applied to their student account.
Katie - August 5 is when we will begin to block the lots off for move in.
11:50
kt - yes, you are absolutely correct.
11:49
Resident Reserved = $745
Parking Garage = $850
Student (green) = $115
Economy = $25

All for the full school year.
11:48
Shelley - unfortunately we do not have anything close to the Locale. Green passes will be available if students at the Locale still want to bring a car to campus.
11:45
Susan - yes, the Harmon garage will be offered for students living at the Duncan apartments. If you are prompt on purchasing it, you should be able to get a permit.
11:43
The email we sent to students has step-by-step instructions on how to purchase your permit.
Jennifer - that will be zone 8. We have not posted that zone yet but we are working on that.
11:41
Angela - Resident Reserved permits will have you park in any lot in the zone, not a specific lot or space.
11:39
Any Resident Reserved permit or Parking Garage permit can also park in green lots or Lot 99.
Wendy - permits will go on sale at 8 a.m. on the day noted.
11:37
Logan - you do not have to try for a Resident Reserved permit, you can wait to try for Garland on the 28th.
11:35
Resident Reserved & Parking Garages = do not have to move for games
Student green lots = yes, do have to move for games
11:34
You can cancel your permit by contacting us at the parking department and you will receive a refund for the remainder of the term.
11:33
For anyone joining late !! We would recommend reading through our answers already provided to see if we've already answered your question. If we haven't, then please feel free to type in your question and we will do our best to get to you.
11:32
We do not have any free parking for the summer. Metered spots are available but do require a charge.
We have a little over 1,000 spaces available for the Garland Garage.
11:29
We will sell out of our resident reserved and parking garage permits, but even if you do not get either of those, we have plenty of parking in our green lots, so you will always have somewhere to park on campus.
11:27
When you purchase a resident reserved permit, you will be able to park in the zone closest to your residence hall which for some zones includes multiple parking lots. But you will not be able to park in any red lot on campus.
11:24
Any student living off-campus will be able to purchase a permit starting August 2. We will only offer what is available, and we cannot promise we will have any garage permits left, but if we do they can purchase them then. Other than that, they can buy a general student pass for green lots or our economy permit for Lot 99 south of campus.
11:22
And remember - you will only be offered the resident reserved and parking garage closest to your residence hall, so you do not need to be concerned about purchasing the correct zone.
11:21
To log in to buy your permit, please go to myparkingaccount.uark.edu

And please check your uark email account - we have sent all on-campus students an email that details when permits will be available for purchase and how to do so.
11:19
Our parking system this year is first-come, first-served to give all students living on campus an equal chance to apply for the parking they desire.
11:18
Lori - we sent all students an email that details when parking is available for purchase. Resident Reserved lots and parking garages do not have to move their car for games.
