Wait....I thought resident reserved (the red spots on the map) did not have to be vacated for games?

No resident reserved lots need to be vacated for games.
4:02
if the lot for Pomfret sells out quickly, what is the next best choice?

The green lots will be the closest to Pomfret, but those need to be vacated for football and basketball games.
Please confirm that a RR in 50B, 50C or Lot 6 does not have to be moved for games?

No resident reserved lots need to be vacated for games.

Where can you go in ahead of time and put in the License Plate info at?

On myparkingaccount.uark.edu, click vehicles in the menu bar and then add a vehicle.
3:58
Is the $745 for the semester or year?

That price is for the full school year.

3:56
We will be out of town when the permits are sold, so is anything besides the car’s license plate number needed?

That should be all you need. And you can log in now and put that information in ahead of time.
3:53
How many spots are available in Resident Reserved for Zone 1 as compared to those available in GAPG for Zone 1

Garland Garage has approximately twice as many available spots as the resident reserved lots.
How many reserved spots are available at Adohi?

Approximately 150.
3:52
is this parking pass good for the year or semester?

All permits will be active from August through May.
3:51
For Walton Hall, which has the most student spots -- reserved parking or stadium drive garage?

Resident reserved has a few more.
3:50
What is the reserved lot for Humphreys?
What zone is Humphreys in?

Humphreys is zone 3 - Lot 50B, Lot 50C and Lot 6. We will only offer the resident reserved permit for the zone attached to your dorm.
3:49
Is one parking spot in Zone 1 specific to that car once permit is purchased in Resident Reserved?   So those by the dorm that sell out quickly by Maples---each spot is specific to one permit?

No, you will be able to park anywhere in any lot in that zone.
3:48
For Humphreys lot  - will they have to move their car for games?

Any resident reserved lot or Harmon or Garland garage does not need to be vacated for games.
3:47
On the temporary disabled placard question, my son is a returning sophomore so will be living off-campus - does the original response still apply?

You can apply a temporary disabled placard to any student permit by contacting parking@uark.edu.
3:46
Where does zone 1 try to buy a parking permit if RR and GAPG sell out?  Is HAPG open to someone in Zone 1 that lives in Maples even though its a hike?

Yes, there is a date in the schedule we have posted for zone 1 residents to try to purchase a Harmon permit.
3:45
So I've checked the website and the email about permit selling dates, and there's no date listed for zone 8. Do you know the date for zone 8?

Good question. Zone 8 is traditionally reserved for Greek life, so we do not open it with the other zones. If we do not fill that zone, then we will offer those spaces to residence halls in the area at a later date.
3:43
Traditionally, how quickly does HAPG sell out? I'm not sure if it's worth the risk to not bid on the resident reserved for Adohi and then not be able to get the garage

Harmon has the most available spaces for on-campus freshman, so there is a very likely chance you would be able to get a permit if you logged on right when it opens.
3:41
My son has a temporary (through 12/23) disabled parking permit from TX due to knee surgery and crutches - does he simply display that placard or does he need to get something University specific for use when he comes back to school in August?

Once you have purchased a permit, contact us at parking@uark.edu and we will add the ADA placard to his account.
3:40
If we are a freshman living in the Maples, will we be guaranteed a parking spot near our dorm, as long as we sign up when it opens?

Permits will be sold first-come, first-served. We will sell out of the permits by the dorms.
3:39
We received the email about when specific permits are available on 7/18.  But there are no step by step instructions on how to long on and purchase those

We will provide the instructions here:
  1. Go to myparkingaccount.uark.edu and log in to the affiliated login with your UA Connect credentials.
  2. Hover to Permits and Select Get Permits.
  3. Select which permit you want and follow the prompts to purchase.
3:36
My son has a temporary disabled placard. Does he need to purchase a Resident Reserved permit or a Resident Disabled Student permit?

It would be safer to purchase a Resident Reserved permit so that he can park in the lot close to the dorm and the ADA spaces next to the dorm.
3:35
Follow up question about Yocum- do you have to specify when purchasing which lot you
want- 50B, 50C or Lot 6?

No, with a RR pass you can park in any lot in your zone.
3:33
If they don't get a RR spot in their zone, are they allowed to purchase in a different zone?

No.
Will living on campus parking & garage living on campus parking be open at same time?

No, please review the schedule in your uark email account or visit our website: parking.uark.edu.
3:32
What garages are open for on campus residents & are the garage spots open at same time?  Which garages do you not have to move your car for game dates?

All garages are available to on-campus students in at least some capacity. Each are open to specific dorms. They will open on specific days that are detailed in emails we sent to uark email accounts, and it is also posted on our website: parking.uark.edu
3:29
*PLEASE READ* Before typing your question, please review those already answered as many of them have already been asked in some form.
3:28
On the fee list, what is the difference in "all area reserved" and "student"?

All area reserved is reserved for employees like the Chancellor, Vice Chancellors, etc.
3:27
Where do you purchase the parking permits?

myparkingaccount.uark.edu
Futrall resident reserved is zone 2, correct?

Correct.
3:26
So if you really want the GAPG covered parking, you just wait for GAPG?  Just asking for your opinion, is it better to try for Resident Reserved and just chance the elements so you have 2 chances at more consistent space for car?

We cannot say for certain. We have more spaces in the Garland Garage than we do for Resident Reserved. But yes, if you tried for both, you would have a better chance at securing one. Dependent upon your preference.
3:23
So, I'm residing in Walton Hall, are you saying the Stadium Drive Parking Garage passes will be sold on the same days as the reserved student passes for zones 5 and 8?

Good question. Please contact parknet@uark.edu and they should be able to answer your question.
My daughter went in and registered for a parking account but it says guest account. Does she need to make a new account to get a residential parking spot for Duncan ?

We create the student's account, so use your UA Connect credentials to sign in to the affiliated login.
3:22
is there a need for resident parking along with garage parking permit or is resident parking valid for non-housing lots?

Resident Reserved and Garage permits are separate and cannot park in the other lot. But both permit allows you to park in any green or orange lot on campus, additionally.
3:20
*PLEASE READ* We have sent an email to all uark accounts for on-campus freshmen that details the dates when reserved permits will become available as well as step-by-step instructions on how to log on and purchase those.

3:19
How does the process work to try and get a resident reserved spot? Will we know immediately if the spots have run out? If we don't end up getting one, what's the process to try for a garage?

If we sell our of Resident Reserved spaces, then you will not see one available when you log into myparkingaccount.uark.edu
The garage will appear at a later date.
Are you guaranteed a spot if you get resident reserved?  Is resident reserved ever oversold?

We do not oversell RR lots.
3:17
Are the resident reserved lots for Yocum 50B and 50C?

Yes, as well as Lot 6.
3:15
Can you park in different zones for resident reserved as long as you have resident reserved tags?  For example can zone 17 park in zone 4 and vice versa?

No, you will only be able to park in your specific RR zone or any green or orange lots around campus.
3:14
How does my son set up his account?
He is a transfer student, living off campus at Atmosphere Apartments. The apartment complex is sold out of parking spots, so we are trying to get a permit to park in Harmon garage. If any remain, my son can purchase on August 2, correct?

He does not have to set up an account, we will do that for all students. And yes, Aug. 2 is the date you can log in to purchase.
