A lot of fuss this offseason about the mets outfield defense. Possible this can be extremely overstated? Bruce's metrics got much better when he was no longer playing next to Hamilton, everyone forgets Cespedes won a GG in left in 2015, granderson and Conforto are at least average corner OFs with Conforto actually being pretty good, and Lagares is a GGer. Not that the alignment will always be perfect, but can't this group be decent?

Interesting question. Writing for a newspaper didn't allow for the data-based type of writing FanGraphs allows for ... Stories about lineup positioning probably tend to get too much attention
