A team in Brooklyn would be cool. ... But I don't see this happening with a number of attractive, vacant cities

Isn't baseball more republican (small "r") then democratic (small "d") because the middle 6-25 players have a much greater impact on teams then the top 5?

I'll give you the point

Thoughts on Mickey Callaway? Is he more new school or old school?
Travis Sawchik

I think he's a blend

I miss the intrigue of when you only saw NL vs. AL players square off when in the playoff and ASG.

I do, too. There is something to keeping a little bit of mystery

Do you think all the recent talk of expansion and "radical realignment" might be a bit overblown? I know it's interesting to think about and is definitely on the commissioner's mind, but I haven't seen any concrete evidence that it might be imminent. Ringolsby's article didn't cite any sources regarding the "concensus" on moving to 32 teams, so I don't know what to think of it.

I'm not sure about radical realignment, I think that was more speculative. But I think 32 is going to happen relatively soon

I suspect the Dodgers will DH Turner or Seager and play someone else in the outfield, especially with Seager recovering from an injury

The DH spot could help the Dodgers with Turner
Should be a fun series

Is there anything more Carson than naming your team the Disappointments?

I love it. I'd hire Carson, too.
Alright, folks, I have to go prepare lunch for a hangry toddler
Even the first five games of the series .... I'm going to be traveling back from Houston on Monday so next week's chat might have to change time slots
