Would it make more sense for the next two way player, assuming they're not excellent at both to be a stud pitcher/basically platoon bat pinch runner or a league average inning eater/legit DH? I would guess the second would have an easier time convincing teams to let them keep it up

I'm not sure I agree. I think two-way players would have to become a lot more common before teams to let players do both at anything other than a very high level.
